Used to be good but the older, knowledgeable, caring doctors retired and the new, young, inexperienced, anti-social, gen z physician assistants are worthless.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Tried calling to schedule an appointment with an Endocrinologist. I was notified that they were no longer taking new patients and told them they should update that on the insurance websites and was immediately hung up on.

I was 11 minutes late for my appointment and they told me to reschedule. Stay away. They could care less.

I’ve never had a doctor that didn’t contact me within a day or two of receiving test results or responding to my inquiry. Dr. Erin Farrish at Middletown Valley Medicine is the exception. It took her 11 days to return my call concerning medication she newly prescribed me. When she finally called me back, no apology. She just said she “prioritizes” messages. In other words, I was a “low priority.”
When she ordered a dexascan, it took her 13 days to contact me with the results, even though radiology provided me the results in 2 days. And again, that was only after I reached out to her. Again, no apology.
And don’t bother complaining to Heather, the office manager. She won’t return your call to hear what you have to say.
Your personal health should by your utmost concern. See a doctor who agrees.

I will start by saying I was recommended Smy Galloway by a former physician I highly respect.
I came here from an office that made mistake after mistake (including forgetting to send my insulin prescription to the pharmacy) so my bar was set pretty low.
I really enjoyed my initial appointment with Amy, and felt very listened to. She ordered a bunch of labs to establish a baseline for me as a new patient, which I came in to do about a week later.
Fast forward to last week. I received a call from Amy while I was at work and a voicemail saying to call back to go over the lab results. I called the next day and was told I would be called back within the day after leaving my info.
Fast forward to yesterday (the following Monday, so this is 5 days after not receiving a call back). I called again and again left my info and was assured I’d get a call back yesterday as Amy was “in the office”. Guess what? I didn’t get a call back.
So I called AGAIN today and was told a “case had been opened” (whatever that means) and I’d receive a call within 2 days. I explained it had been almost a week since I first called and I was getting frustrated. Rather than practice even a modicum of empathy, the receptionist told me that because she didn’t have any record of me calling the previous week, that was obviously untrue. She ALSO told me I was wrong about Amy being in the office the day before. So that’s TWICE she attempted to gaslight me in less than 5 minutes.
I’m just glad this was my initial experience so I know not to go back. I wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone.

I always liked the staff here, but I don’t think I’ll be going back.
I called to make an appointment and was informed that I had been dismissed from the practice for a missed payment. I had received nothing in the mail or phone calls, yet in all the years I was a patient there I always received one or the other, and paid them quickly. I never owed more than $50 at a time.
They refused to schedule an appointment for me and would not tell me how much I owed, and if you’re so quick to dismiss a patient over a small sum of money, and offer no solutions for me to have this resolved, I’ll move on to a practice that values their patients health over a dollar.
Another corrupt example of our healthcare system and economy.

Dr. Farrish is awesome. I recently relocated to northern MD. Finding a new doctor is always the WORST part of any move. Dr. Farrish is very attentive and does a great job addressing all of my concerns. I'm so happy to have found a great doctor close to my new home.

Very fortunate to see Zach. He's very knowledgeable, thorough, attentive and patient. I trust him and can always count on his expertise. He's probably the best physician I've ever had. Also, as someone who despises having labs done, I can personally and honestly say that Tracy has cured my anxiety. Not only does she know what she's doing, she's great at what she does.Thank you both for being so amazing and putting up with me : )

I am not usually one to complain, and I usually have good experiences here but the past two visits have not been. I feel like people know their body and what is going on and you should not have to argue to get some sort of treatment or be treated like you’re unintelligent for not doing or taking certain things. My first visit I was given a piece of paper that said to take over the counter meds and drink tea. At my telehealth appointment today, the nurse I spoke with was very dismissive of my claims that I have a sinus infection and was very short and borderline rude in all of her responses with me even after I had waited over 50 minutes past my scheduled appointment time for the call in the middle of my workday. I asked for an antibiotic after only getting more sick after nearly a week and while she did prescribe one after some back and forth, all she did was make me feel bad about taking antibiotics and try to persuade me otherwise. I just want to feel better because I have obligations and life events happening in the near future. I shouldn’t be treated like I’m uneducated or doing something wrong just because I want an antibiotic to feel better. I know that they are not the best for your body or gut and that’s why they’re taken in short time frames. I just think overall the staff here could be a bit kinder in their delivery and more compassionate overall it literally costs nothing.
