“What a rough in the diamond! I dare you to find another hotel/motel/air bnb in the immediate deep creek area for $88/a night. I just spent the weekend here for less than $200! The hotel is quaint. Really enjoy the rural charm with the Country-esq leaky roofs and dim lights. “Get your steps in” by using the stairs- there’s no elevator. Bonus- uncrustables in the lobby fridge! The good kind-Turkey and cheese!! Rooms are spacious- they even have a nook completely ideal for a fridge and microwave- if only they had them! So bring a cooler! And Make sure you skip every other step walking up and down the stairs- it’s a fun game they play on which will cave in. Pro tip- don’t lose at this game and they will reward you with orange juice for breakfast.”

“The room was super clean and well stocked. The front desk was super helpful and gave me additional items for the room. The restaurant across the street had good food and drinks! I will definitely stay here again in the future! Dont let the motel vibe fool you. This inn was cleaner and more comfortable than most hotels I've been to.

“Nice and clean. No frills place. When we arrived around 2:30 during the day the office was closed and you had to call a number to get the info on both rooms we reserved. A key for one and one a code for the door.”
“We just had the most enjoyable meal at the Deer Park Inn. We sat outside at a lovely table, watching the birds flying around in the yard. We started with scrumptious corn chowder and a Caesar salad. My husband had the curry chicken with jasmine rice; I had the chicken piccata. Both were sublime. For dessert he had the sinful chocolate pate and I had an incomparable peach cobbler. Everything here is made from scratch and the atmosphere is charming. Sandy and Pascal are the food experts of Garrett County!”
“We had a wonderful stay. Room was clean and well furnished. Bar and restaurant were great, and the staff there is amazing! My only suggestion for improvement is that our balcony looked rather neglected, it had a broken table and was rather “webby”, just a quick sweeping would have been appreciated.”

“Nice place McHenry it's self is a awsome place the views are great. Deep creek lake is nice. But that being said the place makes it money with tourists so the prices are higher than normal there is alot to do in the summertime I have not visited in the winter months I would say this place is off the chain the ski lodge has lifts that literally leave the back of the hotel they have a mountain coster and a white water rafting thing on top of the mountain oh forgot to rate the hotel it's clean and the staff are very nice I will be back maybe for some sking to see how this place be a ski lodge like it's supposed to be!

Walkability: There are multiple walking trails up the mountain and the wild life is everywhere there is a family of skunks that roam the golf course”
