Please never take your children to this place. Our 3 year old was there for less than a month and we pulled him. No art, coloring, any kind of take home stuff.

Finding a center based facility to trust with your child is difficult, but we are so glad we found Building Blocks. They are MD state accredited and the staff communicate with us as a parents. Even on simple things. The summer programming keeps the kids excited and entertained. Our child has learned so much being there and thrives on the structure and routine they provide. We highly recommend this facility for your childcare needs.

DO NOT ENROLL YOUR KIDS IN THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE SCHOLARSHIP FROM MARYLAND!!! PARENTS !AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH DAYCARE ON THE MIDDLEOF YEAR.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.It is outrageous how the owner treats people who have Scholarships from the State!!!!!I have vouchers for some hours subsidized from the Maryland Child Care Scholarship Program, which is in the dollar amount more than half of full time student tuition.I am paying the difference from my pocket. At first, for about a year,it seemed to be fine. Teachers were sweet and professional, but not the owner.Recently the director started telling me that I couldn't bring my sons(I have 2 kids) for more than 6hrs and shouldn't bring them earlier than 10 AM (!) When I asked her why that, she said that this is how her contract with the state is set up (all of a sudden!). I don't understand why my kids are different from others? I do pay my share for both of them to be enrolled full day. I felt discriminated. Other kids can stay in daycare open to close. She said that the difference I am paying it's just to keep a spot for my kids. (What??) Total amount she receives for each of my kids is the same as any other kid in that facility, but mine were only allowed for 6 hours. She never mentioned this prior to enrollment and this only became an issue a year after. Now I had to switch to another daycare in the middle of the year, because they suddenly changed some rules (only for me).The owner is extremely unprofessional, doesn't explain anything. She obviously doesn't care about kids or parents. So be aware that her rules may change and she can kick you out or cut hours at any given moment.

They take excellent care of the munchkins, and do an amazing job with structured classes even from an early age. I definitely recommend therm!

All three of our boys attended Building Blocks. Our oldest son spent several summers there, and our two younger children started at ages 18 months and 3 years. My husband and I loved knowing that our children were safe, well cared for, and kept busy with educational, fun activities, as well as learning social skills. Our two youngest boys transitioned directly from Building Blocks to kindergarten where they were well prepared both academically and socially. That was huge! We also found the staff to be friendly, efficient, accessible, hard-working, and prepared.

I am not sure what all these negative comments are about. That's the problem with the internet; it's usually just the disgruntled people who post anything. So here is a positive review. Most kids that go to Building Blocks love it and our experience has been very positive along with other parents we know. Then again we make it a point to get to know the teachers and Jeannie. BB has been a much more positive experience the Celebree ever was when our kids went there.
