I don't know what changed, but the pharmacy does not communicate anymore. I have gotten the same Rx filled every month at this location for a number of years. There has not been a single month over the past 2+ years that I have not had to call about my Rx. Every month I call only to find that they have not filled the Rx, and there are always different excuses as to the reason. Sadly, I don't know that any of the other Walgreens locations are any better nearby.

This location was awesome from when it first opened in 2008 until 2014 then it went downhill fast. This is the slowest pharmacy in Southern Maryland. I don't know how many times I was told to go to Prince Frederick because they were out of stock or had some kind of other issue. The managers here are really miserable and you can hear them grumbling when the pharmacy line is regularly wrapped around the store. I miss Whitesell and Friendly pharmacy.

I've never been into a Walgreens so poorly managed with people so focused on showing their contempt for their customers. Shannon, the pharmacy manager and Scott, apparently the store manager, are miserable people who clearly have not had things turn out in their life the ways they hoped and now take it out in their job. I hope they find the peace they are looking for. You however should find a different Walgreens if you need to visit one.

I would give their pharmacy zero stars if I could! The phamacy staff is the most unpolite staff I've ever seen and dealt with. The pharmacistacts act like they want to help...only to put you hold or pass you off. Walgreens is our family's go to for everything. I've traveled all over using other Walgreens and dealt with many other local Walgreens with superb interactions. Quite frankly being ignored, having your medicine deleted from their system, then to deal with such ignorance and rude pharmacy staff should not have to be tolerate! The cashiers and other staff are awesome, the store and bathrooms are clean. Great loaction...pharmacy just plain and simple doesn't care about folks. Seems like every few weeks there's a new Pharmacist ?...I see trend!!!

I like that this branch has an Pharmacy Drive-thru. No drive-thru at the Calvert Hospital branch, which is limited to RX fills. Some ratings here are about that location. So, some of the pharmacy staff at this location act as if they are bored or are unhappy. Could be that they suffer an illness that makes them act as if or that it is someone or some procedures makes them seem unhappy. It isn't a temporary thing as I have observed this every time I visit. Another young lady seems frustrated and takes a moment to shift from frustrated to kind/welcoming. The pharmacist I have communicated with has warmed to me and seems accepting of my personal needs. I have an RX that requires close scrutiny and, in the past, seemingly caused an attitude of judgment not suited towards terminal pt. needs. This pharmacist has seemingly warmed to me, perhaps due to my never having a 'panic' (or a 'seek') toward fill dates when inventory is low or when a question of 30 days vs. same DATE restriction. A person on the phone has not seemed to want to listen regarding this detail. I do not know their voices to determine who sighed into the receiver when I brought this subject to her attenrion. The date changes based on the no. of days in the month (28, 29, 30 \u0026 31). The front cashiers I have encountered have been warm or friendly or both with the exception of an older gentleman to whom I could not get to engage. He didn't seem angry or bored; it was more of a feeling I had of his dislike for any conversation. I tried to get him to smile, look me in the eyes, or respond in kind towards my open attitude. I've only tried to speak with him once. Should we encounter each other again, I will be observant towards any attitude at others myself. It could have been a fluke day for him. If this happens again, I will amend this detail. I give 4 stars because the isle indicators are lacking distinction from products and can not be seen from most vantage points. I am supposing it is the isle height because the floor sqft limits inventory unless shelving is higher. The bldg seems to have been built to Walgreens specifications, and they miscalculated customers' wants and needs, or the population has overgrown the stores' original perception(s). If this was an existing build-out then perhaps Walgreens Corporate needs to contract for an addition/extension so the isles can be lowered to see what isles contain with distinction and more detail isle markers. Maybe purchase a close pc of land to build a stand-alone store space. The site would need to be near to where Walgreens currently sits as existing customers would not wish to travel farther, and there are a number of pharmacies close by. It could be a build more centered and standalone on the side where drive-thru is now. Customers come to Walgreens with all those choices, so Corporate should not risk losing its regulars. It is a preferred Medicare D pharmacy (not CVS). (There is a large - seemingly rarely used - parking lot on the drive- thru side of the bldg. perfect for my suggestion of adding square footage and gaining 5 star reviews). Keep the drive through and fix its communication. All employees should be on earpiece at this day and age, but especially drive-thru attendants/pharmacy customer service clerks. You know what? Now that I am speaking of the drive-thru, this bldg was a bank! The antiquated drawer, corded phone use for drive-thru customers, goose neck microphone that rarely works and gets in the way and poles where I am guessing a tube shute once was, gives insight into to why space is cramped for pharmacy inventory and personnel especially and why I can not see isle markers or find what I am looking for without assistance! Tear down after building a new store centered in side parking lot then tear this one down to make a new parking lot. Drive thru with good cameras and lighting now facing where the entrance was on this old bldg.!!!??? Will owner of land allow for this? Ask!

I received a call on Thursday that we needed to pick up a drug (metformin) that was prepared for my wife Mary. On Friday we received another call telling us that our prescription was there. On Saturday morning on our way out of town we sstopped by Walgreens to get my wifes Metfomin. It wasn't ready. The person and another working with her that appeared to be the manager said it would be an hour and a half before they could get the prescription ready. Of course we were on our way to North Carolina and time was important plus that for two days they said our drugs were available. Not on that date. My wife good extremely mad and said she needed them now or she was going to have to do without. She asked the person who appeared to be the pharmacist if she could get ten pills. The person in charge said they could do that and end of report. Of course we left for Carolina and my wife did without Metformin for two days. That was the poorest public display for anyone in a pharmacy at least in my 78 years on earth. I have a hard time going back to them and we were forced to use them per our Federal Medicare Pharmacy program. TERRIBLE SERVICE

This store used to be awesome when it first opened. Since about 2016 it has gone down hill fast. Always new people working in the pharmacy that always seems to be short staffed. Lines of cars onto Rousby Hall road when busy. The Solomons CVS and Giant Pharmacy across the street however is just as bad. They just got a new manager hopefully he can get it together. Front of store has lots of itema out of stock often but staff is friendly.

Worst place to go, they tell you to sit and will be with you shortly. That time frame is about an hour, especially when you have scheduled an appointment in advanced. The people in the pharmacy are not polite either!

This review is for the drive thru pharmacy COVID-19 testing department. Testing is speedy, staff are knowledgeable, nice and informative. Easy Peasy.

This location is awful. The drive through is completely incompetent, with lines of cars often backed up out of the parking lot. This wouldn't be such a problem if the pharmacy was able to quickly handle the customers. Unfortunately, this is never the case. From the photo provided it took over 75 minutes before my car even reached the drive through window. Completely unacceptable. Avoid this location at all cost.

The pharmacy manager is completely overwhelmed. She let's her technicians talk rudely to customers with no consequences. I heard her main tech, Keyondra, call a little old lady a racist because her script was not filled on time. Unbelievable!
