Usually an ok pharmacy. One tech in particular actually cares about patients. Don't try to go today 9/27/2024 hurricane knocked out their computer & phones so not getting meds today. ?

I literally had an issue picking up my prescription every single time. The same prescription every month but they just can’t get it right. Very incompetent workers. Would recommend going anywhere else

This pharmacy has made ridiculous mistakes with my prescriptions and refills four times in the past couple of years, and I've had enough.One example: they thought I didn't have insurance, when I do, and decided that I wouldn't want my expensive (and very necessary!!) prescription, and so didn't bother to fill it. They didn't even call to ask me!Most recently, a pharmacist fought with me LOUDLY in front of other customers over why I couldn't have my "narcotic" prescription (it's NOT a narcotic), so I left in tears and without my needed medication that I had been waiting for them to get back in stock for months.I've had enough. I took my business elsewhere, and what a world of difference! I will NEVER use this Giant as my pharmacy again. Does someone have to die as a result of incompetence before this pharmacy is run professionally?

On left: the cake that I ordered directly from the book in their bakery department.On right: the cake that I received a day later than my original requested date/time. When I showed up to pick up the cake, the woman working said she did not know which cake I wanted. My phone number and all the details were on the original order form yet I never received any phone call or a voicemail clarifying my order. They waited until the time I came to pick it up. Fortunately, I was able to give them an additional 24 hours and showed them the picture in their bakery book. I returned the next day to pick up the cake, and this is what I received. It was actually embarrassing to have at the party.

I hate this place the head pharmacist Joan has refused my medication based on her own personal feeling according to her own words this woman and pharmacy is a nightmare if you can switch immediately my meds are never on time and I’m always treated badly I will NEVER GO BACK JOAN NEEDS TO BE FIRED NOWwhat me and my doctor decide IS NOT HER BUSSINES and they are never polite no smiles no thank you nothing switch if you can

After my annual physical my doctor re-wrote all my heart meds. Though I've had problems with this pharmacy before, since it is a preferred pharmacy by my insurance I went again. 1) I waited 3 hours for them to fill the Rx's but figured they were busy. 2) When the Rx's were filled I figured I better check before I leave and found 1 very important med was not filled. I asked why and was told insurance did not authorize it. I asked what I should do and they said 'nothing, go home'. At home I called my insurance and they said the Rx is in their formulary and there is no reason why they'd not authorize it. They have for years in the past.In other words, this pharmacy decided on their own to not fill that life-saving med. They should be investigated. I have asked the insurance company to reconsider keeping them as a preferred pharmacy. In the meantime I am checking into the legalities of holding Giant responsible should I have a stroke or worse.

The head pharmacist Joan I believe is her name doesn’t have the right to tell me to my face that she doesn’t feel comfortable giving me MY medication that MY DOCTOR AND I agreed on for my condition. I Tried to pick up my medication and she told me she personally doesn’t like this type of medication and she wouldn’t give it to me even though It was ready to go so Thank you a lot for not letting me sleep for almost 3days. It was he11. So I talked to my doctor and we switched it to a different pharmacy and they were so nice and I had no problems getting it. I can finally get a good nights rest. Who has the audacity to refuse someone medication because they personally don’t like it? Get out of my business

Dont even bother. They cant even fill prescriptions for people they have been filling them for years due to supply chain warehouse issues. Tech at this store, Joshua said when asked, so If you need insulin and Giant cant get it from the warehouses you just die?, he said yes.

The last time I went to Giant Pharmacy at Lusby, MD, I was totally ignored. I thought perhaps the 3 staff members were all working with this one customer before me, so I waited. When this other customer left, the 3 employees there ignored me even though they saw me in line for at least 15 min. Not one said "I will be with you." They are very unprofessional. I will take my business somewhere else.

This is by far the worst pharmacy in calvert county. Not once have i received a prescription on time without an issue. Horrible!
