I needed to replace 1 dining room chair. I had to buy 2 (sight unseen) and if I didn't like them I would have to pay a 50% restock fee. I reluctantly ordered them, waited six weeks. When i picked them up the 1 chair was ok, not identical to what I wanted, but close enough. The second chair was completely different. When I called Gavigans they said I needed to return both chairs and wait another 6 weeks for the replacements. I made an appointment to drop them off at warehouse, when I did they would not help me carry them in and would not give me a receipt saying I dropped them off because they said I didn't have an appointment, which I did. I'm totally disgusted with this business. Terrible customer service.

Bought a very firm mattress and 2 end tables. I needed taller end tables since new mattresses are very thick. The sales woman was excellent and helpful. The only concern I have is Gavigans does NOT take away the old mattress. You need to get a third party involved and pay them. Now the man who took away my old mattress was strong, did a great job and his cost was fair. BUT STILL!!

Tony R. sold us an "Ultra" furniture protection plan and never provided us with a warranty booklet but informed us that the warranty covers EVERYTHING.Now when we try to file a claim for damages, Servco the warranty company states the furniture isn't covered because it is normal wear and tear and said if the damages was due to an accidental rip or cut then it would be covered.How can normal wear and tear occur in less than 3 years of LIGHT usage? My last couch set from another company was less expensive and lasted 17 years before showing signs of normal wear and tear. You would think spending $1800+ on a furniture set from Gavigan's would give you a higher quality product.Stay away from this fraud company and their shady warranty practices!

The bed and two nightstands i ordered were delivered this past SAT. The photo on the right is the bed i chose in the store…the bed on the left is what i received!!! They are telling me it is the same bed its just lighting, UM NO…the description says WHITE. NOTHING about the bed i received is WHITE. I have put every kind of light possible on the one i received and THE COLOR doesn’t change. It is beige no matter what! The headboard itself is different as you can tell in the photos. They said ON PAPER it is the same bed. Well i dont care about paper. These beds look completely different. I was told the bed could not be returned because of sanitation issues of it already being delivered to my home, even though it has not been used. HOWEVER, when i purchased the bed i was told it would need box springs so i purchased them along with a mattress. Well the box springs made it WAY to high and guess what …..THEY ARE COMING TO GET THEM AFTER BEING IN MY HOUSE, they were delivered the same time as the rest!!!! Makes NO sense. I would not have chosen this bed if they would of said WELL the color may be different. I choose the bed because of the COLOR!!! Somebody needs to make this right.

We ordered furniture from this store, as we had to replace a house worth of furniture due to a devastating fire. Then on top of this circumstance we are living in there is a global pandemic. Gavigans was the ONLY furniture store we purchased from in the area that had no means of communication during this pandemic. Everyone else, including Shoffers furniture who is also family owned, had any problem working with us during this special circumstance, as we are in the category of essential due to the displacement from the fire. Gavigans knew all of the special circumstances when we placed the order. Yet the first day they are open I call to cancel and they state they will not cancel the order. Unfortunately, because they had no means to communicate during this past 60+days, we had to order from other sources who would still deliver. All we ordered were 1 mattress, box springs, and a bed frame/set for my son. No custom couches, etc. We would have rather had the furniture we ordered, however our children needed beds as they had been sleeping on a pull out couch for over 60 days. Gavigan’s is they only company not willing to work with us. The only one refusing to credit or refund us. This pandemic is no ones fault, AND the circumstances we are in as a family are no fault. This is a time we all need to be flexible. Do the decent thing. We are returning customer’s and good customer service is the right thing. Gavigans has no interest in doing the right thing. They not only lost a customer, who would have, and planned to, come back for decor when we were in. I will never Reccomended this store to anyone again.

I cannot say enough good things about Gavigans. My wife was 8 months pregnant and desperately wanted to update our living and dining room furniture. Glenda and then later her manager, John, accommodated us masterfully. My wife ended up delivering early and we were still at the hospital. The furniture delivery men, Jose and Boris, were kind enough to wait 10 minutes for me to return and handled everything gently and beautifully.

When ever I'm looking for something special, I go to Catonsville Gavigan's. Weather it be size, look or price. I usually find it. The delivery guys are prompt and polite. I have ordered a dinning set and living room set. I love them both.

The delivery people called in advance to update us on when they were arriving. The delivery man, Luis, was especially friendly and helpful on suggestions for placement of our new sectional couch. We are also very pleased with our England sectional couch. It looks and feels good. Glenda, our sales rep at the Westminster store took her time with us in the showroom on multiple occasions to show us fabric selections. She was the right mixture of helping but not overbearing. Thank you all!

From start to finish, our experience with Gavigan's had been nothing but outstanding. The sales crew worked with us to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Delivery was extremely efficient and courteous. Before piecing together our new sectional, they made sure it was in the right spot. They tested all moving parts and had us test them as well. Will definitely return for future purchased.

The furniture shopping experience at Gavigan's was amazing from start to finish. Allan was an amazing sales associate and helped us find furniture that suited our style and budget. The delivery process was quick and the furniture looked great after arriving at our house. We will definitely be back to Gavigan's for our future furniture shopping!

I have to give the delivery and set up guys 5 stars. They were professional and very efficient. I wish all delivery personnel were this good. The fact that Gavigan’s took 7 weeks to deliver the correct bed after their mistake in the original delivery gets Gavigan’s 0 stars.
