I had an excellent experience with Carefree Kitchens during my kitchen and laundry room remodeling project. They led the design effort and provided renderings that allowed me to see what the finished project would look like. Not only did they help me select cabinet styles and materials, they also provided input as I made my flooring and countertop decisions. The cabinets were delivered within the timeframe they described and they worked well with the installer to ensure everything was right. I highly recommend Carefree and will use them again.

Bud made so many costly mistakes on our order and he would not own up to his mistakes. We asked for a cabinet without a lazy susan but received a cabinet with a lazy susan. We ordered a small island identical to the island in the showroom. Bud told us it didn’t come with spice racks so we would have to order them and have them mounted on the doors. When we received the island it had spice racks inside the cabinet and on the doors which means we paid for two spice racks we don’t want. When we pointed out his mistakes he said we should have verified the order even though we didn’t understand the order codes he used for any of the cabinets. We drove a distance so many times to meet in person with Bud to try to make sure he had the order right. He never came onsite before the kitchen was measured or after the cabinets were delivered or when we experienced problems. We would not recommend Carefree Cabinets. It’s been a very frustrating experience.

Carefree was a great experience for my Wife and I! Their staff is extremely knowledgeable, eager to help and pleasant to be around. Their sales team worked with us get the exact cabinets we were looking for. The process was simple and they went above and beyond to assist our remodel.

We paid top dollar for decent quantity kitchen cabinets. That is not a problem. But when you are paying that kind of money you are expecting decent service. Even though we paid top dollar My wife and I had to go there twice to pick up material. Terri our kitchen design person came over our house and measured everything and with my wife's input they designed the kitchen. But Terri had our island too close to the fridge so we had to have our contractor move it.Terri was consistently difficult to reach. We wanted to get our couther tops from them. We had picked out a style at another store. She said that she could order it and it might take a week or 2 to come in. We called several times over for 2 weeks just to get a price from her. We finally gave up and got the countertops from another supplier.Our contractor told us there was not enough trim to finish the job. So my son and i had to drive to the other end of town to pick it up. When our contractor, who did a wonderful job was finished we had over $500 worth of trim left over because Terri had miss measured. I spoke with the owner refused to take it back or to take it off our bill. So it has been sitting in our garage for months. Let me know if you know of anyone who wants it.Find some one else to do your kitchen.

I wanted to share that I had a great experience with Carefree Kitchens, they live up to their name. What potentially could have been a stressful process (designing a kitchen and selecting and installing cabinets); was literally CARE-free; (stress free).Working with Dean was a God send. I'm a little long winded but I'm just so excited to report what a great relationship we had with Carefree Kitchens and Dean and highly recommend them if you want things done correctly.Dean responded to my many questions. From the begining through to the end...he listened to my requirements and was sure to capture all the details in the design of our new kitchen as we were removing walls and existing cabinets. He ensured that in this process we didn't lose any cabinet space and literally insured that everything would have a place in the new kitchen.Dean was extremely patient as we discussed different options for cabinet types and drawers vs. pullouts. He didn't just sell us cabinets and create a design. He was available every step of the way once the boxes arrived to completion of the project. We reached out to him several times with questions like "where does this go" and he was incredibly helpful making sure we understood what we purchased and even spoke to our contractor directly to insure they installed a complex island cabinets correctly on a not so even floor to have it look seamless.I was able to send him pictures throughout the process and he made even further recommendations how to give the kitchen a more finished look when there were gaps between the cabinet and the ceiling. He ensured the job was done correctly by the contractors per his specs and always responded in a timely manner re-sending drawings and creating 3D drawings as needed.I really couldn't be more please with the end results and was thrilled to work with him. I'm happy to share pictures if there is a place to do that.

Carefree Kitchens in Linthicum carries both Wellborn and Wolf cabinets, which the big box stores do not. Jyane is very nice. I like the displays at Carefree’s showroom.

Unfortunately, Carefree Kitchens left me disappointed. Matt Grimmer was in charge of helping me select my new kitchen, and while I cannot say enough about Matt, somewhere in the process a mistake/misunderstanding was made and I ended up with a cabinet stain that I did not ask for. The color of the cabinets I wanted was labeled as "Misty Grey" but the word "Granite" was added to the color order and it means glaze/stain. Had it say "Misty Grey with Granite glaze I would have picked up on it and changed it immediately. Instead, I signed the paperwork ordering "Misty Gray Granite" color cabinets and cried when they arrived. I will never understand how this happened (I never asked for the stain) and how one word in a color name changed the look of my kitchen that I am now stuck with. This was my chance to have a dream kitchen and the disappointment breaks my heart. Carefree Kitchens stated I can have the doors replaced for $3,800.

We just worked with Carefree kitchens for the second time and are planning a next project with them very soon. We’ve been extremely satisfied. Their cabinetry is build with quality and is very competitively priced. The staff at the showroom does a great job of sharing the features and benefits of the various levels of cabinets. The delivery team showed great respect for COVID protocols and made that aspect of our experience great as well. We have dealt with Todd Shertzer and most recently with Terry Herman. Their commitment to customer service just can’t be beaten. Both of these representatives went above and beyond to ensure we were communicated with and that our needs were met. As a former home builder and developer for over 40 years, I can tell you that they are among the very best. Well done Carefree Kitchens!!!

I have used carefree Kitchens for several jobs in my home. They have done a remarkable job from designing my kitchens and Bathrooms. They are very helpful and are with you through the whole process.
