Poor customer service. No one smiles or greets you upon walking in. The staff is very unwelcoming. Went in the morning of my appointment and all three male staff smelled of body odor. One had on dirty scrubs. I went in to pick up my glasses and no one acknowledged me until they were done meeting with someone else. Unprofessional environment. I won't be returning to this location. They also don't clean the demo glasses, so bring your own wipes.

Great overall service, better than four stars. A smidgen below five, due to a slight backlog due to tele-visits. Understandable since vision examinations are detailed and complex.

Customer service is very bad. Employee would be on their phone instead of attending you. Appointments are hard to get like they would be busy. You came in and there is literally nobody.

Know all your info before going. I went to get contacts. I said I want to max out whatever my insurance covered. I ALWAYS say this and end up paying a little out of pocket. Maybe like $10. This time I was told it was nothing out of pocket. Perfect! When I got my contacts it was a 30 day supply. WTH. That was why I didn’t have to pay anything. No worries. I went back twice to order more contacts but it was too busy. So I finally went in on a day it wasn’t busy. I asked to max out the remaining of my insurance. I was told you can’t do that because it was already used the last time. This was not explained to me before. I am 100 percent positive because i always say Max out! What made it worst was that the guy casually said he told me this when I am 100 percent sure that isn’t the case. Now I feel like I have wasted money because I have to pay out of pocket for my contacts. However, the optometrist was good.

I have been a VisionWorks patient at the Laurel, Md. location for at least 8-10 years. And everyone that I dealt with has been friendly and professional. Short wait times and everything was explained and all questions answered clearly. I would highly recommend VisionWorks to my friends and co-workers looking for new frames and/or lenses. Mr. Johnathan, as well as all employees were very professional.

I came in 15 min before my appointment. The first thing the Man asked, which im assuming is the optometric tech, is if I was picking up. I said no im here for an appointment. Him and young lady at the front desk sighed. All they said was its gonna be a long wait you have 2 patients ahead of you but you can have a seat. I asked if they needed a name, she said “no I have to call the insurance company I cant do both things at the same time”. Very nasty encounter. The Optometric tech then came up to me asking if I was sure if I wanted to keep my appointment or reschedule because it was a long wait. I left early for work and really needed an appointment and he seemed frustrated that I was not trying to reschedule. I also told them I didn’t know I scheduled for a tele-health and he responds with “everyone says that but it clearly says it on the website when you schedule.” I ended up leaving, never coming back here. Their attitudes were very nasty and it seemed like everyone hated their jobs except a new guy who asked if we were already helped. Go to myeyedr instead, very friendly :).
