Trying to dispute a credit card charge for a cancelled subscription. They haven't done anything in the past month and now I've gotten another charge. I don't really feel like they have my back.

I wish I could give Tower a higher rating. I have been a member for over 30 years so I know and like a number of Tower employees. However I also am a member of an unarmed credit union (NASA) and if I was not a loyal type person I would have dropped Tower. They are friendly, products are good but they just seem to lag behind technically. Security is strong but too cumbersome. But I am too old too really care anymore

My father became a member in the 70s or 80s. I became a member when I went to college. My first credit card was through TFCU - my limit was $500; it was considered a student credit card. I however banked with other financial institutions because there weren’t many TFCU branches near me. Eventually, I became disappointed with my banking institution & decided to bank with TFCU & use their products/services i.e. First time buyer - home & car loan. TCFU informed me about a class for First time home buyers. The class was very informative & helpful with discussions about credit scores. Their process of applying for loans goes rather smoothly. I’ve always had positive experiences with all of the branches & today (10/7/2023) was no different. I went into the branch for to take care of three things - turned out to be four things & i was assisted by Angelo Pimentel. He was pleasant, professional & took care of all matters with patience. Overall, I’m very pleased with TFCU.

Two issues . I had gap coverage with this bank and was suppose to receive another loan with some money back to purchase a new car , they dragged their feet so long I had to get a loan with someone else . Didn’t receive any incentive with gap coverage so I basically wasted hundreds of dollars adding that to the loan .I am currently PCS in Texas . I told these people five times i moved , even address is updated and they still block my card in Texas . After being with this bank for ten years , I’ve turned to navy federal

The worse credit union ever. Took me 4 hours on the phone to pay off a HELOC loan. Customer service was horrible. They claim they could not information on the loan and after fees and interest the loan ayoff was at tge original amount?p

Loan rates have more than doubled. They've been hacked more times than I can count. Fees have been charged whether they have been warranted or not. Mostly not. Turning into a little greedy loan shark style establishment. I am currently looking at other banks, but it would definitely be safer in my mattress. Can't hack that.

All team members were really helpful in the entire process. Nicole was especially helpful in working with her management team to get my loan amount approved, even though the appraiser listed a note about declining markets in California. I know I can count on Tower Federal's solid, but intelligently flexible lending standards to be around and able to support my business in any economic condition and I appreciate the jurisprudence. Above all that, they have one of the best HELOC rates (Prime -.5) and they are the only lender that will do that rate above a $200K credit line. In addition, they got the HELOC done in about 35 days from application to closing, which is pretty incredible for a HELOC over $200K.

This review is intended for Rico Tabligan. I truly appreciate your professionalism & guidance regarding my Salvage Owner retained auto loan. You made the process easier to expedite. You are a great asset for Tower. I can't thank you enough for helping me and following up so quickly. Best regards, Laura Posluszny

Avoid this company if you have a chance! They bought my equity loan, and raised the interest rate to 8.5%! If you try to contact them, expect to spend half a day in que.... Scam, that's what it is!

Just the worst. The worst, worst, worst. Online webpage is impossible to navigate, customer service doesn't have a clue. I'm just trying to pay off this loan on time and Tower makes it so difficult every month. I CANNOT wait until we pay this off and are free of this company. See you never.

Same situation as the other 2023 reviewers. Horrible communication, bait-and-switch, blamed me for my application expiring because they couldn't do their job. Find another credit union - any other credit union.

Overall not a great experience with TFCU. I'll echo a lot of the negative reviews listed here recently. It's great that they were advertising aggressive auto loan rates during a rising rate environment, but you actually need to be able to deliver on those unless you want to be thought of as a "bait and switch" company. I went through all of the requisite steps to become a member including a donation to their charity. They slowed the process down so much from their end during the process that I was forced to use separate financing in a rush or else lose the vehicle that I'd already committed to with a deposit. Every rep from TFCU communicated that there's nothing they could do to speed the process and I should expect several weeks of turnaround time. Just unacceptable. When I finally got approved for an account, they bumped the offer rate from the initial 2.99% to something closer to 7%. Bait and switch. Not good business practice in the age of online reviews.

Awful experience with Tower and their mortgage department for a HELOC loan. I would definitely stay away from this place! First, spoke with a lady named Angela who was extremely rude. Had to switch to a different loan officer but trying to get people to actually talk to you over the phone is a joke here. Then they decided to use my mailing address off my DL (husband is active duty so it differs from our home address) and mailed my statement to that address in Texas. Called them so they could correct their mistake and was told I had to fix it because they got it off my DL. I never put that address on any of my paperwork as my mailing address.

Do NOT recommend. Their site doesn't allow you to make any payment changes, whether you want to change the account that the payment comes out of, or make additional payments. You have to mail them a physical form to change the account you pay out of, but even though they have that information, it's not an option to choose when trying to manually make a payment
