Came in at 9:17 and a employee approached me stating that they were shutting down and I needed to go to the cash register. I look down at my phone to see the time- while asking if the closed at 9:30, I look up and the employee is already walking away, shaking her head and not acknowledging me. I understand that it's the end of the night, you're ready to leave, but be respectful about it at least. No one likes to close or leave work late but you think someone who works in customer service would have a better attitude towards customers. Definitely in need of proper guest interaction training. Do better and stop being bitter for doing a job you get paid for.

I was shopping and on a call with my team while in the store. One of the associates was waving to get my attention to say we are closing at 9:30. It was 9:20. I said ok. She said the registers are going to close. I said well they won't close before 9:30 will they? She said I don't know. I continued browsing. I had two more employees do the same thing and warn me that the registers are going to be closing. I have been shopping in TJMaxx/Marshalls for years. Many times it's been near closing. I have never felt this type of pressure, harassment or almost threatening warnings uttered toward me. As little as people are spending these days you would think they'd be more appreciative and discrete. I know they want to go home but running customers down in the aisle, in addition to the multiple announcements on the loud speaker is a bit too much. "You are welcome here - but please hurry up and leave!"

Smaller TJ Maxx, but they pack a variety of stuff. They have marked down their gift sets from Christmas. The staff is nice.

I'm here two Saturdays before Christmas to wrap up my gift purchases. The store opened bright and early at 7 am. The store has lots of great merchandise to select from. The team is was very attentive as several employees asked me if I was able to find everything I was looking for. The prices were reasonable and the selection of items was great.

I’ve been to this store maybe four times ever in the past 8 years and I consistently have a problemwith the register staff. I’ve come to the conclusion that they just hire incompetent staff or have strict policies for no reason. For a store where everything is basically 9.99, how complicated should any issue really be? No other store in the country has given me the problems I have in this store, and I’ve lived in 5 states. Choose a different TJ Maxx — too many other good options then to deal with them.

Out of all the TJ Maxx I have been to over the past few months, this is by far my favorite. Every time I think of an item that I may need, or want, I want to make my way here. Mostly because when I go to another location anywhere in the area, I'm disappointed. This location always seems to have items on hand that you are hoping for. Such was the case when I was looking for a new office chair. Being as particular as I am, I wanted what I had in my mind. Funnily enough, this location had just that, and lucky for me, it was on clearance. It is really well organized in here, made searching for items really easy. Somehow this store felt really spacious as well. I don't know why, but it just felt like I could have been in one area and not be bothered by anybody for a long time. Customer service was a bit lacking. Employees were almost non-existent, even at the registers. For the whole store to be running, I only saw two employees and they were at the register. Unless the staff are amazing at hide and seek, then props to them.

I used to favor the Bowie location but I’ve recently been here on several occasions and they had the store well stocked. Alicia was super helpful when we needed assistance at the jewelry counter (Alicia if you see this I was the girl that called and asked for someone to come over lol) and Roxanne at checkout was so much fun!

Myself and my family had the most horrible experience with the store manager. He is about 5ft 10inches tall and had dreadlocks. He speaks in a somewhat calm tone while being disrespectful to you.He literally was harassing us asking us to leave the store because in his words he lives in DC and needed to be home. I have never experienced anything like this. He was walking by us while we pick things up. I didn’t appreciate his tone either. This isn’t the first time a member of my family has encountered this man and his unprofessionalism. He literally insinuated that my daughter may be returning something that was not purchased from TJ Max another time my daughter was there.We ended up leaving everything we had already picked up because of how rude he was. I feel shopping for me is a therapeutic experience that should not be that stressful. Also we are there to not only support the business but to spend our hard earned money. Very disappointed

It stays clean for the most part. Just wish they invested in better lighting, simular to the lights they have in their Columbia location. The shopping experience would be much better.
