GROOMER MESSED UP MY DOG’S COAT!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. I explained I did not want clippers or razor used for my Pomeranian’s grooming appointment. I explained he’s a pom and only cuts using scissors work best as the same groomer has made this mistake before and it took a full year for his coat to grow back. Sara the groomer said she understood yet took zero notes down. They called to pick my dog up and told me to pay for the service BEFORE picking up my dog. I didn’t think much of it so I did. Next thing I know- Sara has given him a teddy bear cut which completely used clippers to take MAJORITY of his fur. I was upset and spoke to the manager who was no help at all. They tried to gasligjt me into saying I didn’t explain myself well and Sara got confused. No. I said what I said and you did the exact opposite. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. the manager refused to give me my refund and said they’d give my next service free as if I’d return- no empathy at all. Looked like he could care less the entire time. Yes I am contacting corporate as I don’t play about my dog. Manager handled this wrong and sided with the groomer- just disappointing. Here’s a before and after of my poor pom. ?

This one star is for the lack of staff and assistance they have throughout the store. I absolutely adore the grooming shop here. All the staff in grooming do a great job. However, they are so busy the other staff in other departments never answer the phone. They sit at the cash register on their phones and don’t even offer assistance when you are standing at grooming desk. Nail trims are walk in. I stood there for 10-15 min without any help. Since the groomers were busy, the other staff didn’t bother to ask if I needed help or acknowledge I was there. Please find a better way for Al a carte services besides walking in because you will not be helped ??♀️

Truly disgusting. There are visible urine stains on the carpet in the foyer. When I dropped my dog off the smell was overwhelming... when I picked him up hours later, I - literally - gagged and nearly vomited. The entire store is literally soaked and soiled in bacteria. I have never visited any kennel, pet store, or other groomer that was even remotely close to being this disturbing. Management clearly needs to be trained. The grooming services were not fully completed - my dog's ears were definitely not cleaned nor his fingernails trimmed

Informed an employee their crested geckos habitat was 10° above their maximum temperature and the Humidity was 55% too low, and that this will result in the gecko dying of heat stress. Employee remarked it was a temporary enclosure until it was purchased and did not address the issue.A store with live animals needs to take their care seriously. I do not believe this is a problem with an individual employee, but petco as a whole. The location in Glen Burnie has similar issues. Attached is a picture of the thermometer and hydrometer in the enclosure, as well as the care sheet on Petcos own website.
