I had to rent a vehicle for a funeral.The online process was easy. Prices are very good. Staff.....well, just make sure you communicate with them as little as possible. AND NEVER LEAVE ANYTHING IN THE VEHICLE. NO ONE WILL KNOW ANYTHING; not even the person who rented the vehicle directly after you.After a long drive, I got out of the car and forgot my book bag in the trunk. The car was black, the trunk was black, and the book bag was black.When I noticed the bag was missing, I contacted the Washington St, Laurel office. They contacted the new renter. Of course, the renter "didn't see anything "Yes I know the policy; not responsible for valuables. I've had other rental companies search the vehicle afterwards and provide feedback on items left but you get what you pay for.

Great staff. Another hardworking location. Lots of car turnover. Unfortunately for me, I ended up with a car that smelled like fish. Now, when I got it, the guy had just finished cleaning inside. Seat was still a little damp. But when the temp turned to 101, it began to smell. They were nice about it. Next Car is easy to reserve a car. No problems picking up or dropping off. Easy to extend your rental time with just a call.

What a Great group of long time employee's.(You don't see this now day's) Three very nice gentlemen at the front counter working together to get you where you need to go. Cars are nice. Book ahead on line and save 10%. Bring your car insurance info, drivers license and bank card. I suggest you carry full coverage on your personal car to save money when you need a rental.

I called them and reserved a car , they told me to hurry and be there quickly as they closed for 1pm so I got a über there for 12:20 they had me wait until 1:15 and then told me they couldn’t rent me a car some of the worst service I’ve ever seen

Bad customer service. Very rude and disrespectful. The lady with the black & blonde hair was rude and didn’t want to attend to me. She even came outside to start yelling at me. This is an unacceptable behavior. This would be my last time renting a car here

I reserved a car online and when I arrived I was informed that there was no car available in the class that I reserved. The staff was apologetic, which is fine, but I needed resolution. Luckily Twon was on staff today. He came up with a solution that allowed me to continue with my Labor Day weekend plans. After all of this I could not access my insurance, Cheryl then jumped in to help and was patient and extremely helpful. Thanks guys for saving my first Labor Day weekend off in 7 years!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would . After traveling over 30 minutes to Laurel from DC and prepaying a reservation I was welcomed to first a DIRTY office space. After being told that my reservation could not be located(despite the funds immediately being taken) my reservation was found 15 minutes later but I was then told because my address on my card didn’t match the brand new address that I moved to 3 weeks ago…my reservation had been cancelled. CANCELLED WITH ZERO CONTACT, no cancellation email nothing . I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE ANYWHERE . I’ve rented cars all over the country. What makes it even more ridiculous is that we live in the DMV( DC MARYLAND AND VIRGINIA) why would my md address( that I moved from and have not yet changed addresses ) be a problem . This is advertised NOWHERE and easily could’ve been rectified before holding 400 dollars on my account for no reason. To put icing on the cake the woman at the front has 0 customer service skills and not to mention a horrible wig….DON NOT SKIP THE BAD REVIEWS AS I DID BE PREPARED FOR A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE . There are two enterprise rental companies within 5 miles of this location just go there

Customer service is trash the lady on the desk didn’t attend me till 30 minutes after , on top of that she gave a attitude not only that I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone horrendous service i don’t know why that lady still has her job pls avoid this

RUN FOR THE HILLS, DO NOT RENT AT NEXTCAR! YOU"LL BE SORRY! If this was the last rental car company on the face of the earth I wouldn't rent from them. Their customer service practices are horrific. The Laurel, MD location is housed in an old dilapidated building with rotten floor boards, peeling paint, water stained ceiling tiles, and filthy everything! "Company Policy" mandates they call your insurance company to validate insurance, even through you show them an ID card and online app proof. In my case I had a confirmed reservation and waited 45 minutes at this dump while they attempted to validate insurance coverage. I finally walked out after getting an attitude from the rep behind the counter after questioning this "company" policy. Seriously, they call your insurance company and wait on hold making no progress while the customer bears the burden of the BS! Why not have an electronic system to validate this? I don't trust them to be honest, and based on all the negative Google reviews where they discriminated and tried to SCAM people I cannot believe they are still in business. Again, NextCar is ratchet, their people lack proper customer service training, and their business practices are dishonest at best. Rent somewhere else, this car rental company is the worst of the worst!

Staff was lovely and were very patient with helping me out. Some of the best rates i could find. The car was gorgeous and signing for it was fast and easy.
