From the quote process, to the move, the team at Metropolitan were professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. Jamier and Alex did a fabulous job loading and unloading, they are extremely hard working and accommodating in every way. I have been involved in a lot of moves and recommend Metropolitan moving highly.

I do interior design and have utilized Metropolitan for a handful of projects to receive, deliver, and install. These guys have been great. They are organized, immediately contact me when an item has arrived damaged, and do a fantastic job on the installation days. They are clean and efficient!

WARNING Horrible Company - DO NOT BOOK!!!
I was booked for a in person estimate and staff took me off schedule without notice! The only reason I found out was when I called to verify! I finally spoke to Robert and complained. He told me they received a large contract that will tie up their staff and trucks. So I was removed from the schedule without notice! Very unprofessional. He apologized but he didn't even bother to notify me especially when he was the person who scheduled me. Plus this showed that they valued a higher price contract over customer service/satisfaction. I work with big contracts so I know business they followed the Money which was more important than giving me the courtesy to notify! I wasted a couple of weeks to be able to search for another company because their lack of notification. Total Disregard for my needs as a customer! I would give No Stars if I could but had to give 1 star to Warn other customers!

If we could give this company and our team 10 stars, we would. From the beginning of our moving process to the end, the Metropolitan Moving and Storage team was professional, kind, efficient, responsible, responsive..... I will highly recommend them to all our friends and family and encourage you to check them out. They provide us with a thorough estimate and because the movers were so outstanding, they completed the job super fast.
This is a really great company and we are happy to recommend them!

Metropolitan packed and moved us — and our two truckloads of paintings, pottery, sculptures, furniture (and our car) — across the country to New Mexico. They were not only professional and on time but also a delight to work with. The team was cheerful, efficient and very careful. Not a thing was missing or damaged. And on top of that, their estimate was spot-on; not an easy feat when moving a condo and two storage units worth of belongings.

The best movers in the DC area. I've moved four times with Metropolitan — twice across multiple states — and it's gone perfectly each time. They are straight shooters, will offer tips to help you save time and money, and their movers are careful, steady professionals. They 100% take some of the stress out of the moving process. I can't recommend them enough.

I just moved from a house in Chevy Chase DC to an apartment in Bethesda, and Metropolitan did a superb job moving me. I am a retired US Foreign Service Officer so I have moved many times and I can say that the Metropolitan employees, from the estimator Eddie, to the packers, to the movers were the best that I have encountered. Staff arrived on time, packed carefully, and delivered on schedule.

These guys are the best. Very informative, detailed as to what to expect, and very careful and friendly movers. We moved our whole office to storage and there were many delicate things and they did a great job at a great price.
