My children, 5 and 3, have been at Laurel KB for just over two years. Everyone there is extremely friendly, helpful, and patient. We've been happy with all of the teachers as well as the front desk and support staff. We get multiple updates per day about what our children are doing, which is comforting. This school also doesn't seem to have as bad of a teacher turnover problem as we experienced at a previous center.

We absolutely love Knowledge Beginnings! The culture here is amazing. All the teachers and staff we've interacted with are so happy and welcoming. We would especially like to thank Mrs. Kita, Mrs. Ashley, Ms. Keia, and Ms. Ana as well as all the teachers helping out in the infant room: Mrs. Elizabeth, Ms. Victoria, Ms. Jenn, Ms. N'mani, Ms. Jimira, Mrs. Janae, and even the directors Mr. Ryan and Mrs. Caleigh! Everyone brightens our mornings :)

Knowledge Beginnings has been an amazing experience for our child. She has learned so much from her teachers and the other children throughout the past 3 years. The front office staff and the teachers are exceptional! We cannot say enough good things about our time at KB.

My son attended Laurel Knowledge Beginnings in July 2017, our experience has been nothing but amazing! The teachers and staff are always so friendly. My son has had amazing teachers who have shown him composition and have created a loving environment for him. As a mom, I have been extremely pleased with the center and staff. I would recommend the center to anyone looking for a loving daycare center.

I have sent both my boys here for the last 4 years. We have been grateful for the kind and flexible atmosphere provided by the teachers and director. The programs have been engaging and fun for the kids. My boys have always felt safe and comfortable here and we would definitely recommend.

My children spent almost 3 years at this center and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the director Gena and her choice in staff. Gena was always accommodating to or needs and addressed any issues we had immediately. The daycare and before and after care program were very beneficial to meet my needs as a working mom. My children have also attended KB's summer program and the activities they plan were always very age appropriate and well organized. I would highly recommend this child care facility specifically for the leadership and standards that are set at the top by the current director, Gena.

Beware!!! Absolutely horrible!!! Don't waste your time! We removed our son after just over one month.I work from home, have a flexible schedule and was able to spend a significant amount of time (several hours per day) as our son began attending this day care. I personally witnessed one of the assistant "teachers" calling a newly enrolled 15- 18 month old baby a racist and verbally abusing the child by yelling profusely in her face all because the child did not like the teacher. When the director, Gena "reported" the incident to the child's parents she lied about why the child was being moved to another class and did not share with them what had actually happened. The parents had no idea what happened until I told them. The director informed myself and the parents that the "teacher" would not be caring for the child again. I informed her that I also do not want this woman caring for my son and she informed me that she would not be working in my son's classroom. The director was very protective of the "teacher" told me that other parents like this teacher. I shared with her if the other parents had the luxury of time, were able to spend the amount of time i did in the classroom and witnessed what i did, they would not want her caring for their child either. She then said "Well, my son likes her too". I responded by saying "It is this woman's job to make sure that the son of her boss likes her"! Shortly after as I was dropping my son off, there the "teacher" was in my son's classroom. As soon as I noticed her in the room, I picked my son up and exited the building. This was my son's last day, never to return again!!!Also, I witnessed two children in our son's class biting other children and nothing was done. Eventually, it was our son's turn to be victimized as he too was bit and the matter was handled horribly. The director, Gena cared more about protecting the privacy of the aggressor than she cared about ensuring our son's well being. I then asked "What are you going to do to prevent this aggressive behavior" and she responded by saying "Biting is not aggression, it is learned behavior". I responded by saying "Even if it is learned, it is an aggressive form of learned behavior". Her response to a horrified mother who was left to console her traumatized son was "We can't prevent this from happening...we can't watch them every second". When asked about the health/ immunization status of the child, she refused to provide such information. We had to call the police while standing in front of her before she agreed to share with us whether the child was up to date on immunizations.Don't waste your time nor money!!! This place is overpriced and a complete waste!!!

The infant care that my daughter has received here is exceptional. There is a woman who has worked in the infant room for more than seven years, and I can tell she truly cares about my baby. The management team has promptly responded to any (minor) concerns or requests that I've had. The majority of the management team also previously worked in the infant room. My daughter smiles and is happy to see the teachers and the managers in the morning. As a first time mom that works full time, it gives me peace of mind to have my daughter here. No daycare is absolutely perfect for everyone, but this has really worked for our family.

Seemed like a nice daycare. A little pricey for us though.

After searching around the north end of Silver Spring for quality day care & schooling, we ended up placing our kids here. The kids love it. We feel very confident in KB's care and service. It's a little pricey and sometimes services are delayed. But the kids are learning, happy and safe. We highly recommend them. Oooh - they're open on snow days, too!
