Hobby Works® was founded in 1980 by JLP, in Laurel, MD. Long-time employee/manager Mike, and his brothers purchased the company in 1992, eventually growing to a 5 location chain in two states by insisting on hiring the greatest and happiest people, and treating every customer as if they’re a friend we haven’t met yet! Some of our best friends still work with us to this day. With the growth of on-line shopping, we’ve gone back to our original Laurel store and Rockville location, and also operate stores on Amazon and Ebay, and sell direct to you online.
