Disgusting place. Homeless people, Crazy people all around etc....One time the entire Giant smelled like Vomit. Literally........Overpriced.....The last 3 times I was there the police were arresting crazy people shouting at customers exiting etc....I don't remember this Giant ever being this bad before.

My garlic bread I bought from this location today.
Lazy people work in the bakery here obviously. How much longer would it have taken to cut the bread all the way and spread the garlic butter properly?
Do the job you're paid to do. Fully! Everyday!

This was my first Giant pick up order at this location and I am pleased. Even with three of the desired items being out of stock or substituted, I left that experience being very satisfied.
My bags were packed nicely to include the final receipt detailing what items were unavailable, substituted etc. There are two items that no matter where I do a pick up order (i.e., other Giant locations or Safeway) these items are NEVER in stock. Therefore, I was already expecting to receive a substitution notice but the items were available! My only dismay is that I received only 4 bananas in my order when a bunch is normally 6.

I have been a loyal customer of Giant for the past five years, visiting the store once a week. Unfortunately, I have witnessed a decline in customer service, which has become a significant issue. Despite being the best-stocked store in the area with a wide variety of products, the experience has become frustrating.
There is usually only one register open, and while there are several self-checkouts, the attendant is often absent, leaving customers needing help. This has happened to me on multiple occasions, making quick trips to the store unnecessarily time-consuming.
The last straw for me was when I had trouble using the self-checkout. The machine did not recognize the bags I brought from home and repeatedly called for assistance. However, no one was around to help, and multiple other customers were also waiting. When an employee finally arrived, I expressed my frustration, saying, "This is so dumb." The employee responded with, "You know what's dumb? Thievery." This was incredibly hurtful, as I have been a loyal Giant customer for years.
I also spoke with a manager, who had tattoos and glasses, but he seemed uninterested and just wanted to leave. Given this response, I felt submitting a complaint would be pointless.
I want to share my experience because it is clear from other reviews that many customers have faced similar issues. It's not okay for stores to treat customers poorly.
As a result, I have decided to change where I shop. Here are some recommendations for other stores in the area:
- SHOPPERS: 13600 Baltimore Ave Ste 100, Laurel, MD 20707 (6 am to 11 pm). Great prices and a wide variety.
- Harris Teeter: 14702 Baltimore Ave, Laurel, MD 20707 (6 am to 11 pm). Slightly higher prices but a wider variety of quality and healthy food.
- Food Lion: 410 Sandy Spring Rd, Laurel, MD 20707 (7 am to 10 pm).
- Weis Market: 410 Sandy Spring Rd, Laurel, MD 20707 (7 am to 10 pm).
- Walmart (Columbia): A reliable option for a variety of products.
I personally avoid the Laurel Walmart due to its crowd and atmosphere.
The best way to see results is to change where you spend your money, and that is what I have done.

Manager on duty is extremely racist the white gentleman with glasses and tattoos He had told me and my friend that He’s not getting paid enough nor is he getting paid on the clock right now so he’s not gonna stay an extra three minutes and he had an attitude I was disrespected. The manager on duty had no professionalism. He definitely shouldn’t be working at giant maybe he should find another profession. If you can’t customers, then maybe this field isn’t for you. I’m a local at this giant I come every week of every other day. I spent more then 300 and this is how a loyal paying customer is treated wow. Hopefully this location gets a new closing manager. Check the camera you’ll hear what the manager said to me and my friend. Not even at McDonald’s do they distract you like that he should be ashamed of himself. He was also extremely disrespectful to the lady working at the registers the one with the bang and she has black glasses. He hates his job

I had never visited this store until recently. I happened to be in the area. I was provided exemplary customer service and assistance from the manager Daya. She was extremely pleasant, polite, and patient with me. She is the true definition of customer service.
