Pretty crummy service! We reserved a truck online and when we showed up they said none were available. Based on other reviews this seems to happen consistently, and they told us it was just an IT error. What's the point of the online reservation??

On Tue 4/30 I reserved a moving truck for Sat 5/4. I go to pick it up, and the lady at the front desk tells me they have none, and that "they" said they had called me on Thursday to let me know, so she didn't bother calling herself. She was non apologetic and said the only thing I could do was call customer service, in a very "oh well" manner. Mind you I received a confirmation email on Friday saying my rental would be ready for me the next day! U-Haul had no trucks available, so I was stuck with 5 friends waiting around at my house for 2 hours while I hunted down a moving truck. I never received an apology, an email, compensation, or any other kind of communication from Budget for the screw up. What I DID receive was a $50 no show fee, for a truck they couldn't provide for me. Luckily I was able to rent a truck from another U-Haul, but I will NEVER use this Budget again. And I'm waiting for someone to contact me back so that they can refund me for that bogus charge.

The absolute worst rental company in the world. I made a reservation a week in advance, just to get to the facility to be told that the were out of trucks. You would think that if this was the case, a courtesy call or email prior to my coming to the facility would be in order right? Well, apparently not! So I call customer service and speak with a so called "supervisor" named Lily Employee # 37919 who did absolutely nothing but tell me that I can call one of the competitors, and get a truck from them!!! This was and forever will be the most absurd and preposterous experience I have ever had with any establishment. Needless to say, they will NEVER get my business again

Would give zero stars if I could. Booked truck 3 weeks out, Day before move the call me and say, "We don't have a truck for you call customer service" Zero care that they left me in thw lurch, no alternatives offered, DO NOT USE!!!!!

Stay away from budget truck rental. I reserved a truck and went to pick it up, they had zero trucks available there or even within a 50 mile radius. They did nothing to fix the situation, and did not reimburse my Uber cost to the rental location.

If I could give 5 negative stars I would! I had a "reservation" for over two weeks, and these folks call me less than 24 hours prior to my "reserved" pick up saying they didn't have a truck for me due to trucks coming in and out. Why the hell did I make a reservation then? I ended up paying almost $100 more for a truck due to last minute with U-Haul, at least they are reliable! I will NEVER do business with budget again!

Terrible service. I had rented a truck for move, we waited for a little bit as the attendant was busy. When we were finally assisted, we were in the middle of our transaction when the attendant took a phone call. He then proceeded to hand us our paperwork and license back and said "I'm sorry I can't help you anymore, the person on the phone needs a trailer." He left us at the counter and told us he was going to drive our truck to her house and asked us to leave because he was going to close the location and didn't know when he was going to come back. He then proceeded to tell me that if I didn't leave he was going to lock me in the office. I was shocked at the poor level of customer service and how incompetent this person was. We weren't the only people waiting for a rental - so everyone was left without assistance. I ended up calling the Beltsville location who were EXCELLENT and helped us out with a truck. Save yourself the headache and don't come here. The Beltsville location isn't too far and the staff is really helpful. The person who was working was slow, rude and didn't know what he was doing; it was shame that there wasn't any other staff to help him.

I rental for a week. I was instructed to return the car by 2pm. I called corporate the morning of to see if i can return the car by 5pm. They gave me the OK with no up charge. I return the car b4 5pm and was charged 40+ dollars. Customer service basically called me a liar and state there is nothing in their system stating I can return by 5pm but when i get my receipt it states return time.... 1700!!!!! Smh never again..... hwy robbery. Their customer service SUCKS!!!!!!

Freaking idots! We reserve a reservation then they call us and tell us they dont have any trucks available and dont even suggest any places where can get another one. I dont even want to give them one star!!
