You've cried wolf too many times!
A false and frequently ringing fire alarm at 3 AM will make the residents stop believing it, and one day, a real disaster might occur.

My recent experience with one of the leasing agents at Aventura was great! Telly was very helpful & accommodating throughout the entire transfer process. His sincerity & friendliness was refreshing. Having Telly in the leasing office gives me confidence & trust that any issues I may have will be attended to & resolved.

The apartment is rampant with car theft. There would no exaggeration to say theft is a nightly occurrence. There are no safety measures the apartment takes to protect the vehicles on the lot and even the towing service partnered with the apartments is predatory. My car was stolen and the apartments have yet to turn over security footage of who did it. Even overnight visitors aren't safe.

We have finally settled in after moving into our new apartment this past May, and we couldn't have chosen a better place to call home!! We’re so glad we chose Aventura at Conte Crossing after our extensive apartment search.
The thing that has stood out the most for us has by far been the amazing customer service, on top of the attentiveness when handling maintenance issues and cleanliness of the complex.
Stopping by the leasing office to chat with the friendly staff became a common theme for us during our first few months. Nicole and the rest of the staff have been outstanding!
All in all, I would 100% recommend Aventura at Contee Crossing to anyone looking for the next best place to live!!

I recently had the opportunity to tour Aventura at Contee Crossing and was thoroughly impressed by the property. The extensive amenities, including ample parking and a well-equipped gym comparable to a conventional fitness center, stood out. The entire property is meticulously maintained, featuring a clean, modern aesthetic. The community atmosphere is tranquil, further enhanced by the presence of on-site security and police.
The unit I toured had been recently renovated and was impeccably clean. The staff were notably helpful and informative throughout my visit. Their professionalism extended beyond the tour, as they promptly and thoroughly addressed all my questions. I would like to extend special thanks to the property manager, who meticulously explained the application process in detail, ensuring I had all necessary documents prepared.
The staff's combination of professionalism and personable demeanor made a strong impression. Additionally, the location of Aventura Apartments is ideal, being close to shopping centers, restaurants, and stores. The sense of community is palpable, highlighted by annual events like the Cinco de Mayo party, which I look forward to attending next year. The transparency of the management and staff provides a significant level of comfort, as they are consistently upfront about any situations, fostering a sense of trust and peace of mind.
If you’re considering this property, I would highly recommend renting at Aventura Apartments, as the exceptional quality offered at this price point is unparalleled.

I used to be a resident of Windsor and I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but I wanted to give the new management a chance. Touring this week was a great experience, I was greeted by a gentleman by the name of Daiquan who was extremely professional and pleasant and then toured by Nicole who not only was knowledgeable but made my tour experience great. My lease will be up a little later this year but the Aventura should be expecting an application from me by the end of the fall. My advice would be to take the negative reviews with a grain of salt and give the property a fair shot like I did.

We have lived here since May 2024 and I can not be happier. The leasing staff is awesome and very attentive. The maintenance staff is very quick and helpful. All the wonderful amenities work! I have not experienced any of the fire alarms or car break-ins mentioned in the previous reviews.
I would recommend this complex! It’s clean, I feel safe, and I know if I ever had any issues the leasing office will do their best to take care of my family and I.
Our 2 bedroom and 2 bath is spacious and affordable. Our 1 year old loves the pool and the lifeguards are always present, giving us a sense of relief.
We love the gym and we even utilized the clubhouse for a party!
We have no complaints living here!
If you’re looking for a great place to call home I recommend touring the community

I beg you to rent anywhere but here! Do not spend your hard earned money on this complex. We lived here for 3 years and it was 2 years and 10 months too long. When we moved in it was Windsor at Contee Crossing and was great! However, that quickly went downhill after Aventura took over.
What you read in these 1-star reviews is all true: inattentive and rude office staff, trash left in the hallways, cars constantly broken in to, fire alarms sounding at all hours of the night. If you want peace of mind, don't move here.
Two examples to highlight the utter lack of professionalism and competence of this complex:
The fire alarms blare at all hours of the day and night. When this was first happening a few years ago (yes, years ago!), the reporting fire team told us that the system was faulty and that the complex knew about it but had not yet fixed it. I called the fire marshal the next day to report it, and wouldn't you know it--the fire alarms were fixed in short order and we knew (relative) peace for a few months before they came back in full force. (Which they did, again going off all the time.)
We rented a storage unit on the property. Convenient, right? Hardly. First, it took them over two weeks to figure out which units were rented so they could issue one to us. When we asked to see the unit they were giving us before adding it to our lease, they took us to one that was occupied with another tenant's belongings, apparently to their own surprise. The didn't even know it was taken! Eventually, we did get a unit near our apartment and all seemed well until one day I went to gather items for a vacation to find the lock on the door had changed! I could no longer access my own belongings because they changed the locks and did not tell us. I informed the leasing office, and they, too, seemed surprised that the locks had changed. How could that be, you ask? They apparently had a locksmith working on the property and had no idea which doors were re-keyed! And, to make matters worse, they didn't even have the new key on-site. It took an entire day's worth of visiting the leasing office and being a thorn in their side to get a new key made and issued.
While we're happy to have left, we did so under less than ideal circumstances. We were saving for a house and intended on staying just one more year at the complex to do so. That is until they told us we could not rent our unit again as it was slated for renovation. They offered to rent us a renovated unit at a ridiculously high price. We did end up buying a house and moving out, but it was annoying that they were unwilling to meet us half way after being responsible tenants for 3 years. Their standard response to this is that "corporate" is making them do it, so they can't help you.
Don't worry though, your annoyances won't end when you move out. They neglected to send us our security deposit within 45 days (as stipulated by Maryland law), so we had to follow up with phone calls and emails in an attempt to collect it. It wasn't until we sent a certified letter threatening legal action that they issued us our check (conveniently backdated to make it seem as if it were sent on time).
So, I guess if you want to spend $3,000 a month to live in a unsafe, dirty apartment complex with a rude and lackadaisical staff, then have it.

Please don't waste your time here! The management here is more than incompetent and will drag you round and round in a circle. The stuff/criteria which they are supposed to be doing first, they are leaving to do at the last minute. They sent out 'fake welcome letters' leading my boyfriend to believe that he was in the clear to start renting a U-haul truck and to hand in his apartment keys. Move in day comes (woohoo right?)...WRONG.
We get there with the U-haul truck ready to sign the lease and move in, only to be told the apartment was not ready because, apparently, the crew did not come to 'fix the ripped out carpets.' On top of causing us 3 extra days of paying the U-haul truck and killing his koi fishes (he owns 2 aquariums) due to their ignorance and wrongful information , he was then told that he was denied approval of the apartment after being sent a WELCOME LETTER and a MOVE-IN DATE. Ridiculous! My BF has regret choosing this venue for his new home simply because they did not welcome him, give him the runaround, and have caused him losses and having to spend more money on the U-haul truck in the end.
They really did play in his face and wasted a copious amount of his time . I beg you to spend your time and money elsewhere. This apartment might look inviting, but trust me, its not worth it. The people in the office can be so rude (especially Daniah Clark) and ignorant. After all that stress and trying to get everything in order, there was absolutely no compensation for anything. They do not care about their residents, just a bunch of money-hungry people.
Side note: If you'd like to at least feel welcomed and not as if you're begging them to live in their apartment complex, perhaps try EVOLUTION, located on Cherry Lane in Laurel, MD.
Reply to "Owner's response" below : Please come correct. As I recall, I have been with my boyfriend through every step of his application journey at AVENTURA CROSSING. As a matter of fact, you guys (including the manager) even took it upon yourselves to try to include me in the unit and ask him to submit a black-and-white form stating I will not be occupying the unit , even when I wasn't on the application at all! You guys assumed as if 'I was' when the application was in His name and his name ONLY.. IN A NUTSHELL, I would say I am more than "informed on the details!"
SO again, as I said before, I highly recommend you guys not renting here. The management is absolutely terrible, provides false information and gives you the entire run around . If you are looking for a gorgeous place to stay, try their competition
' EVOLUTION, located on Cherry Lane, Laurel, MD.

Aventura Aventura Aventura.. what can I say lol or should I say what should I start with Aventura is very NICE but applying here and seeing how their team is, it makes you want to withdraw you application immediately! they are sooo unprofessional and will definitely give you the run around, sending welcome letters in the beginning then to ask for all these so called ( POLICY) documents on my move in day. Daniah Clark needs better training she needs to have a sit down with someone to learn the business and do it properly. she was helpful in the beginning at least I thought she was but I was definitely wrong lmao. if you do plan on applying here, gosh I hope not but If you do pls do your research & have everything brought to you attention in the start of your process. I was suppose to move in on a Wednesday so I got a U-haul truck and paid people to help me move . Wednesday comes around and I was told "nope you can't move in we need to do a carpet replacement, so with you take this smaller unit or you wait till tomorrow to move in."
I asked to be compensated based on my ready purchase of my Uhaul and me needing to add more days to be able to move my stuff in when unit is available. They said NO we don't do that. I tried to explain to them it wasn't my fault it is and was actually their fault! highly unsatisfied & I honestly Felt Highly unwelcome, this was terrible and , I had already moved out my apartment and was ready for new apartment but now Im left stranded and today had to put all my stuff in a storage unit and still looking for a better apartment.
I also had 2 $2500 (USD) Koi Fishes that passed away during the move to the apartment I've had them since they were a little baby I've had them for 2 years now but they ended up dying because they had me sitting an waiting continuous to move into the unit and I brought it to their attention and they were highly unfazed and could care less. this is absolutely insane and I will be posting a video on TikTok &. more about my hassle at
Aventura at Contee crossing not worth the move in.
If I could leave a Zero star I would. that's how disappointed I am. do better Aventura

I lived here 2020-2021. To this day--3 years later--I get called by delivery drivers and guests asking to be let in to my previous apartment (#317 in building 7810). I HAVE NOT LIVED HERE IN THREE YEARS. I have called the leasing office numerous times begging for my phone number to be taken off whatever list it's on, and nothing has changed. I don't know how else to get your attention. PLEASE remove my information from your system; I am getting bombarded with calls. If you can make that happen, I'll take down this review.

Flew in from across the country, visited and toured the property for a 3/2 unit last week and was given a quote but no tour of the actual unit as it was under construction. Was promised a video/virtual tour but it was not attached to the emailed quote. Responded back via email and phone calls for 5 days regarding the video and quote with no answer from the Office. Could not reach anyone by phone on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. It is now Wednesday and no one has answered my calls or emails. I don’t know how this place can be satisfactory for residents who would need to reach the Office for everyday business or emergencies when a potential resident cannot even reach them regarding an application submission. Also, do not put the “complimentary” coffee and business computer/fax machine aka work station in the gym. That’s nasty. Do better.
Edited to add: Hello Brenda, I don’t think you will find my name because the appointment to view the 3-bedroom unit was booked under my husband’s name, which is different from mine. Someone from your office called him since this review went live but he was disgusted from the lack of follow-up to his questions and we have already relocated to a new residence. Therefore, there is no further reason for us to communicate with you. I hope that this has resulted in improvements.

I was a tenant at Aventura Contee Crossing from October 2020 to October 2021. They were Windsor Contee Crossing when I signed the lease but changed over midway. I agree that the apartments went down after the change over. But a consistent problem I had even before the change over was heating in my apartment. My apartment was always cold. And although they always sent someone to try to fix it, it just never got better. It was the coldest winter I’ve ever experienced. And I’m from NY. The maintenance of the building declined and the new management team was cold and one in particular was downright rude. I would not recommend.
