Went in a couple months ago to resize my wedding band based on the good reviews and they were professional and things were ready the next day. Agree they're direct and even gruff at drop off, (which I am fine with, don't need a lot of pleasantries) but at pick up they double checked that I was happy with it. The work was great, and it's so much more comfortable to wear a ring that actually fits again.

They are paying roughly 1/3 of spot price on gold… I don't know if business is that bad or they just want to lowball you. Either way you should probably go somewhere else

Total bait and switch. Called about an item which they said was there, when I arrived minutes later it was sold and they wanted me to buy a more expensive item. Would have been better had she not been so rude and pushed the more expensive item on us.

Needs to improve customer service over the phone. Was ready to spend good money but after being talked to like I'm not even worth the time I will not even be coming in anymore. Otherwise I have no opinion on the inside so draw your own conclusions in that regard.

I needed to find a reputable jewelry repair facility for my Mother's diamond jewelry. So naturally I was skeptical about bringing them to a Pawn Shop. But the team are amazing! While they are direct (straight no chaser), as I am from NY/NJ i loved it, they know their craft. I had 4 pieces repaired and an accessory replaced for another piece on the same day. In addition cleaned each piece. The reviews are real and the team has earned each star.

Excellent Gemologist on hand! Brought my ring in because one of the diamonds fell out. Two days later ring was ready, and I literally did not recognize my own ring. It was so clean and beautiful, needless to say the diamond was replaced. I am truly appreciative of their work!

I just had three watch batteries replaced in about 10 minutes flat for a VERY reasonable price. The other places charge double and I have to leave my watches. I will be back to A-1 Jewelry and Pawn in Laurel!

I've been coming here for the last 5 years and it has never disappointed me! I always recommend it to my friends and family and they all agree it's the best pawn shop they've been to. I've had jewelry and my vintage watch repaired here. They sell pretty jewelry as well and have very reasonable prices.
