Excellent service! Matou took my call and invited me for a timely appointment the very next day. Upon my arrival, I was professionally and warmly welcomed. It was my first time getting braids. I shared a little of what I wanted in flexibility. Matou educated me on hair and wearability. Overall, the atmosphere was inviting, and comfortable and the staff overall offered professional timely service with attention to detail and care. I highly recommend Matou Braiding Center!

My experience at Matou's hair was one of the most cleanest and friendly environment I had experienced! Amy and Mary done a magnificent job on my hair. They both was diligent. I will be forever returning back for more hairstyles. Thank you so much ladies!

I have been coming to Matou since she has opened over 20 years ago. When I need my hair braided, she is "my go to braider. Matou is professional, she knows her work, and aims to please. Out of all the braid shops I pass, this is who I trust.

Terrible service!! Avoid this salon at all costs. I went to get a sew-in. When I got home I saw the back of my head had massive empty spaces. Refer to pictures. I contacted the owner Matou about a refund and she insisted I take out the entire style including cornrows before being refunded while knowing I had got my hair done for my birthday trip. I asked for at least a partial refund and she refused saying I must either come in for her to fix it or take the entire style out. This was impossible for me because I was currently in Jamaica unable to both go to her salon or walk around with no style in my head. I thought it more reasonable to at least allow me to fix my own sewin and give me even a partial refund. This salon steals your hard earned money and now I have completely wasted $120. I highly recommend other braiding shops like Nadine’s who know how to value their repeat customers.

My sister put me on to Matou’s Salon. I haven’t gotten my hair done in braids since my mom used to do so in high school. My experience was amazing, the stylist are very skilled and nice, I felt very comfortable and I’m still a re-occurring customer
