Beware! Do NOT use Home Depot credit card or Home Depot store credit to make any purchase (especially any purchase that you may possibly have to return or exchange). Fine print buried in the credit card T&C allows Home Depot to refuse to accept any returns (vs typical VISA/Mastercard accounts which often include consumer protection), according to the HD "Coach." Even the Home Depot receipt warns "AVOID RECEIVING AND USING [HOME DEPOT] STORE CREDITS." Bizarre! but true. The Lanham manager told us that this is because criminals traffic in store credits and power tools, thus, we are presumed to be criminals (despite 20+ years as Home Depot customers and credit card users) if you try to return tools or anything purchased with a store credit. So, on top of horrendous service, flat-wrong advice and evasive managers, Home Depot serves good customers an extra helping of consumer fraud. We purchased $441 of tools last week and applied a $32 store credit to the purchase. It turned out that the tools were unnecessary, so we tried to return them two days later in the original, unopened packages. Home Depot refused to accept the returns because a "third party verification service" called The Retail Equation says that any purchase of tools with any amount of store credit is non-refundable because criminals traffic in Home Depot store credits and tools. Well, so does Home Depot! The Retail Equation blames Home Depot policy, and Home Depot blames The Retail Equation policy. It is brazen, unscrupulous consumer fraud in the guise of security policy.

This is like the smallest homedepo i have ever visted although its a big area and the store seemed loaded but that they have is pretty much limited in varieties. I was looking for tiles and floor woods and to my shock what they have there were very limited and not abroad choice at all. The staff st the customers service were not friendly they have an attitude when you needed to return something or just asking for help.. I'd rather go somewhere further than coming here again. They deserve 4 stars for lots of reasons but the guy from customer service was pretty bad who had an attitude which of course affected the stars....

Waited for service in the carpet department for almost 20 minutes. I almost left but everyone kept telling us someone was coming. They need to work on keeping people in their departments. I was on my lunch break when I went so I spent most of my time in the store waiting. Once someone did come over they were very helpful but the wait was unacceptable.

Wish I didn't have to give any stars at all the service is TRASH, stood and waited for 25 minutes for someone to come help and of course NOBODY came. I HATE HOME DEPOT SERVICE. 1) Nobody is ever around to help. 2) NO MATTER WHICH LOCATION YOU VISIT THE ENERGY IS THE SAME (rude and don't want to be at work). First and last time visiting this location.

Stay away! Absolutely the worst customer service that I've ever experienced, even worse than a Walmart! Store is not that busy but I can't get lumber cut. I've been up front and spoken to two supervisor/ manager types, they have paged someone and told me to go wait by the saw. 45 minutes and I'm still here. There's a Lowe's 20 minutes away that would have been faster. This is not the way to run a store. The founders of HD would be livid if they experienced this.

Lack of professionalism and rude workers. There are only a few who actually work good. One guy was asking me if I wanted him to perform the work. I asked him are you licensed. And he kept on insisting and thought it was funny. In reality i wanted to choke him out.

I was dreading a trip to Home Depot, knowing what kind of Lack of Customer Service to expect. My expectations of poor Customer service were rewarded; but the price of items I needed out of the Garden Center were too good to ignore. You would think that on a warm sunny May morning Home Depot would have all check out lines in the Garden Center up and running; no they did not. To make matters even worse for the two lines that at times stretched 10 deep, there were plenty of employees asking to help load items into your cart or dolly or assist you in loading your car; but only two people running registers. One employee asked if I needed assistance with loading, my response of no; but how about running a register was met with a blank stare. Another Home Depot with poor customer service.

I can honestly say people at this Home Depot don't value their jobs at all. They have a teenagers running customer service who obviously don't have any skilled but talking to each other, than helping customers. I waited 5 min for them to stop talking then I had to say excuse me just to ask a question. Then I proceeded to go to the window section and waited over 15 min for assistance. Once I got assistance a worker pushing a cart acted like he had no idea what I needed. I'm done !!! IM GIVING MY MONEY AND BUSINESS TO LOWES . HOME DEPOT ( LANHAM ). YOU ARE THE WORSE

Ok. I barely use Yelp anymore. But I had to share a great customer service experience at this Home Depot that I had recently. I had a slightly unreasonable request I should mention. Yet, Aleshia at the customer service desk went above and beyond to help me get the item that I needed that was not in store. It took about a few days for it to be said and done, but she helped greatly and even when I came in for an unrelated project, she still remembered me and followed up from the order before. Her and Shaquanda are outstanding providers of customer service and I wanted them to be recognized. Working in retail (and any other service industry) is hard but its great to see people who still have spirit in them. I will continue to shop at Home Depot for my projects.

I've probably had one bad customer service experience since shopping at this store and I just think the employee was having a bad day. Earlier this year I was renovating my bathroom and decided to stop through this Home Depot for supplies and materials. Not only was I asked by multiple employees if I needed help but the manager took me around the store and helped me pick out all materials. I'm now working on my second bathroom and decided last night to run to this store to see if they had any deals on vanity cabinets. Found one on clearance but it was still attached to the store display metal rack. The employees working that section went above and beyond to detach the cabinet, detach the faucet, clean the cart off (it was raining and the cart was wet), helped me load it in my car and they gave me an additional $20.00 off the clearance item. I've also had the same store manager whom I dealt with during my first project and three other employees help me load my truck up with materials I purchased about two months ago. They made sure I didn't have to lift a thing! I've been to other Home Depot stores and this one is by far my favorite.

I've never had a bad experience at this location. I've been here on several occasions for various items ranging from paint and grills to outdoor trash cans and appliances. I've always received exceptional customer service from the time I walk in the store to taking my items to the car. Today when my husband and I took a trip I accidentally forgot my cell phone in the cart and the outside cart attendant came to my car and brought it to me.

This review is for the garden department. The service is utterly horrible with the exception of an older gentleman that is very helpful. Otherwise for the hour I spent the 2 younger gentleman (20's) were completely oblivious to customers. They spent the entire time I was there playing with the music in their phones and practicing rhyming. And they often left the area entirely and always left together. Wth? When a staff member did track them down to help a customer they lazily shuffled to help as if they were being inconvenienced. Upon leaving I waited in the parking lot for 15 minutes with my trunk open needing help loading some soil. When one was finally tracked down he had an attitude. Then after he was done he had the nerve to leave my empty basket right there next to me instead of walking it back inside with him. I was extremely polite to him because I was in a good mood but it was a horrible customer experience.

Terrible. Customer service is non existent and they have zero shame about it. I spoke the manager and the store is understaffed. The staff they do have their are super sketchy and clueless. Too bad Lowes is their only competition.

The diy class started about 45 mins later than it was supposed to. The information they gave on deck staining wasn't accurate either
