Someone from this group showed up at my place of work badgering people about forming a union. Someone they spoke to approached our GM. I don't know why they think it's a good idea to organize in a way that gets management alerted to what the people they want to represent are doing... I'm surprised I have to explain to a UNION the importance of discretion during the organizing process but here we are. Obviously our workplace won't be working with this organization.

Honestly, instead of Union reps calling the associate, how about email because not all associates carry their phone 24/7 to get back in touch; and besides if it's not a number that the associate recognizes then they just don't answer it, period. Why do the associate even put down an email address to get in contact if they don't use it.

Mark failed to represent me. How is this as a Union allowed... the one time I needed something I got failure to represent. No wonder nobody wants to pay dues. Discrimination is a serious issue. This Union is weak by far. So 10K into my pocket you failed, good job!!!

There is seriously something wrong when a Giant Food department manager and associate ask a union rep why our wages + benefits aren't competitive with surrounding stores, and they tell them to "go to another store then". How can a rep say something like this? You say you fight for better wages, but then your reps tell associates to go work at a competing store when they ask why we don't have better wages. You will raise union dues because of inflation but won't negotiate better wages for people you "represent"? At this point, the union does nothing but embezzle the union dues paid.

I worked for UFCW Local 400 as a Representative in the Northern Virginia area for over 6 years. On Oct 5th Local 400 terminated me WHILE Im Still out dealing with the Covid 19 aftermath , My request for a meeting with Mike Wilson was ignored,my doctor's notes were ignored, I was not given due process... I paid my dues for over 6 years and did not get representation . I requested a full refund for all dues that were taken out of every check but Local 400 has ignored that also. UFCW Local leaders are a fluke they dont practice what they preach, the President Mark Federici is anti Union he intimidates his staff when the staff wanted to organized and become Unionized. A Union where the staff does not have a VOICE and if they try to have their voice heard they get yelled at....hiprocesy at its best

Thanks to UFCW Local 400 for helping my daughter get her job back after a spiteful manager had her terminated for a series of dubious, "minor" infractions. Thanks to the UFCW for really standing up for the unsung heroines and heroes who've been standing at the real front lines of COVID since the beginning--the grocery stores. Workers--get to know your Union reps! They can help you.

This is nothing but a scam. AVOID AT ALL COST. They will lie to you when you come to their orientation, on the contract says $1.25 but it is actually more than $13 per week. When you signed, you cannot cancel until the next year. They offered me a lot of benefits but nothing worked for me. They lied them all. I ended up paying these scammers $707.2 a year for nothing. Specially, when you contact your "representatives" (these scammers). You won't get help. They put you on hold for weeks and month, never return your call. The representative only work once a week on Monday and as I said, she never call you back. Signing this contract is the biggest mistake in my life. Again, AVOID AT ALL COST.

This is just a scam. I tried to call my representative many times in a month but never reached her. They charged me $52.28 a month and never did anything for me. I called them to cancel the subscription and to give me a refund, they were extremely crude to me and asked me to fax them a letter in order to get the refund. I faxed them the letter 2 weeks ago and have not gotten a response from them. My paychecks were still deducted $13.06 every week. I just called them again today, they said I need to wait for cancellation and they said that I would never received the refund. This is really a scam. Be aware and stay away from them if you read this.
