I have been to the establishment several times and the customer service is always great, my hair looks amazing and my last for about three weeks . When YSA and Fnor does my hair they do such a great job. My hair is in a repair state and it appears to be growing so well. I travel from DC just to continue to get the desire service. Consistency is key in which salon 809 is bringing.

Salon 809 has provided me with a great experience for over 4 years now. I’m always greeted with a smile from the front desk staff and they have great hospitality and excellent organization skills. I frequent the Bowie and the Hyattsville location. Both places are very clean and well run. They deserve 5 stars. I have not had a relaxer since 2010 and they keep my hair in great condition.

This was my first time at this salon, and I was initially nervous because my hair has been damaged in the past. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and welcoming environment. The receptionist Eli was friendly and made me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in.
The wash was thorough, and the blowout was fantastic. The stylist (Yoka) took their time and gave me a beautiful trim and blowout that I absolutely love. Overall, I am extremely happy with the service I received. I finally found a hair salon that truly caters to my hair and doesn’t rush the process. Highly recommend!

Been a customer for years. Booked an appt online for a specific stylist at a this location. Got to my appt, the stylist wasn't there. She was sent to the Bowie location last minute. No big deal except no one called to say anything prior to my arrival. The front desk was rude and unprofessional. She told me I should have called to confirm that the stylist I booked was gonna be at there and I can have my account flagged so that they know I only want to book with that particular stylist. I have never experienced such horrible customer service and lack of care for my time. I ended up going to the Bowie location for the stylist. I had no issues there. Maybe time to change locations.

Literally everytime I come here it’s a 1-3 hour wait. LITTERALLY everytime! Nobody the day, Monday-Saturday and for some reason they always only have 1 STYLIST. So it’s 2-4 girls in there washing here with 1 stylist! Last time I went my hair literally last 2 days so I honestly don’t understand why I keep going back. Never again though! Just wanted to warn yall

One stylist I mean everyday you’re open ofcourse. I’ve been there on a Friday, Saturday, and even today ( Wednesday june 19th) and everytime the receptionist tells me it’s just “1 stylist”. No I don’t make an apt but you all offer walk ins so I would think you would have availability for that. I don’t mind waiting, but over an hour is ridiculous. Today the young lady told me FOUR HOURS because it’s only one stylist, same thing I was told months ago. It’s awful.

Salon 809 does great hair. My challenges in the past has never been with the results of my hair. However there has been changes to the staff and it’s phenomenal!! Ysamar, Valencia and Eli are AMAZING! So compassionate, so empathetic, and Ysamar is so talented, she gave me the best trim and blowout. Thank you ladies for hearing me and seeing me! ♥️. I’m so happy to be back as a regular customer.

Very unprofessional, they had me wait for 2 days for a total of 4 hours to get nothing done. They don’t care about making you feel comfortable. I have been here a few times over the past few years however I made an appointment both times the first appointment Friday 9/18/2020 they had me waiting for an hour at the Bowie location it was my first time there I normally go to the landover location. I leave and rescheduled for Saturday 9/19/2020 I come on time was siting for 30 mins before a wash. I get called for the wash and sit under the dryer at this point I’m 1 going on two hours there. I sit and wait for my turn to get my hair done. They had another customer they knew come in she got her hair wash right away and got under the dryer. Once the 1 stylists finishes the two people I was next she grabs the lady who came in after me and sits her down. No communication no nothing I had been there for 3 hours waiting with my daughter. I got up and walked out. Nobody said anything they just kept speaking in there language and that’s ridiculous. What a way to make someone feel not wanted and treated like pure trash. Stop investing in business who don’t invest in quality customer service.
As an update 4 years later no charges were pressed for those false claims to this horrible business with horrible customer service.

I went in excited and left crying. I don’t ever put myself first and I finally took time and left work early to get my hair colored and highlighted for a weekend trip. I arrived on time and was not started on until almost 2 hours later. I am more disappointed of the lack of efficiency. I was literally there the evening prior with my 2 daughters and explained what my appointment was for the next day. They weren’t prepared for me. I was there for almost 6 hours, to leave with my hair wet and not styled and hair dye stains all over my face…and still had to pay a nice chunk of $$ for my service. I couldn’t stay any longer as I was inconveniencing others’ time as well. I got more upset for how long they took to just start. I had to be on the road by 6pm. I saw the highlights when I got home, it is nothing like I asked. I don’t think that beginners should be left practicing on clients heads unless 1. They are asked if they are ok with it and/or 2. We get a discount so we don’t expect exceptional work. The stains on my face, I now have to find where to stop to get some remover so that I don’t look stupid in public. This was my first visit for myself. I do not plan on returning. So much for my self care and pampering.
