“I am amazed at the level of personal service The Old Town Shop provided when a friend's gift of beautiful cherry blossom bags was stolen from my front porch. Valerie went out of her way, when she saw that the package had been delivered but then stolen from my porch. She ordered the replacement and got it re-delivered with a lovely note card. And I love the beautiful cherry blossom bags! Although I live in Bethesda, I will make a point of visiting The Old Town Shop when I am in the neighborhood.”

10th St. &, Constitution Ave. NW, Washington“The overall experience was mostly good. The museum has a lot of interesting choices for exhibits and what is shown is very digestible for most people. There are a couple of reasons I'm not giving it a complete 5 stars:
1) The food at the Cafe's leaves something to be desired. It really is a cafeteria format. At the atrium cafe that is not far from the entrance, you get a tray and pick the food you'd like served on other paper plates and trays. Most of it truly is cafeteria food such as burgers, Mac and cheese, and chicken tenders & waffle fries are among some choices. They didn't taste all that great as they are left on heated areas for people to grab and who knows how long they sit there.
2) There is an Egyptian mummy exhibit. A history I am usually very interested in. And while the 4 or 5 windows of those exhibits were interesting, I also found it to be a small collection. Not a bad thing necessarily, I was just a tad disappointed.
3) A lot of things take some tickets in advance to get into which is similar to other museums in the area. This is not a bad thing, just something to be aware of before coming in. The butterfly atrium is one of these as an example.
Overall, still a great place to go and worth seeing for free admission. It made my 1st time in Washington D.C memorable.”
“I love shopping at Steadfast Supply. They have such unique and fun items in their store. I never leave empty handed. They source incredible greeting cards too and it's my first stop in the neighborhood for any card I need for personal or work scenarios!”
“Doing Nisey’s is like being on a treasure hunt. You will find something that satisfies your desire, need or want. While shopping, the vibe you experience is like therapy. A real feel good place. The proprietor (Jackie) is informative, creative, sweet and a true jewel.??”
“I love this store, both the Shirlington and Wharf locations! They have a variety of unique gift ideas - but my favorite is their selection of vintage jewelry 5 stars all the way!”
“On our annual anniversary trek to Alexandria my wife and I hit the shops, particukarly for the grandkids. Happy Place caught our eye and Anneliese made the experience incredible. Besides help with gifts she was a wealth of info regarding Christmas happenings in Old Town. Hope the owners appreciates the gem they have working for them. Stop by and indulge. Take in the beautiful scenery along the way.”
“Outstanding environment, this is the best place to visit after your, visit to the White House., The staff is fully ingage when you walk in store. I've been a customer since 2013. ANDY HARLAND, LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA USA USA ??”
“I found this business online while on the hunt for a wooden wine holder shaped as a duck for my girlfriend's mother as she had added this to her Christmas wishlist. (Yes, I know it sounds silly). I'm skeptical when it comes to online shopping with the way the world is today but I hoped for the best & ended up purchasing the item. What led me to their site was the fact that the product was way cheaper than the competitors & their shipping timeframe was promising. About a week later, I received the item and it was perfect! Exactly as described, got here quickly, and didn't cost an arm or a leg to do so! Very satisfied customer!”

6927 Laurel Ave, Takoma Park“This store is GREAT for gifts, surprises, or just some nice finds to have around your home. It's also great for finding puzzles, games, or hobbies to do on your own. They also had quality cards for special occasions, and many unique items - and all for a good value - that really made me appreciate this store. It's a shop that's worth coming by over and over again, whenever I'm in the area to see what finds for sale the owner has managed to pull out of the top hat. And this isn't a second-hand shop.”
“We were pleasantly surprised by the National Building Museum! It was recommended to me by a relative and I'm glad we took the time to check it out. It was just my husband and I, so we skipped the extra fee to see the Lawn exhibit, aimed at families with young children. It made me miss my kids at that age as they would have loved running up and down hills! We enjoyed many of the unusual current exhibits such as Hoops (photographer Bill Bamberger's collection of photographs depicting basketball courts from around the world showing how they build communities), House & Home (historical exhibit about what it means to live at home for different people across the United States), Secret Cities (the architecture and planning of the Manhattan Project), Flickering Treasures (historical look at the world of great movie theaters in Baltimore), and more! Also, the building that houses the National Building Museum itself is quite grand and there is something to see. Completed in 1887, it originally housed the United States Pension Bureau to serve Civil War veterans and their families. A frieze depicting scenes from the Civil War surrounds the exterior of the building. It also served as the location of several inaugural balls and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1985.”
“The service this store provided was punctual, considerate, and delivered exactly what we ordered! The delivery person stayed in constant contact with me even when they were given the wrong address! Great Job”

700 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington“This was my first time at National Archives Store. My toddler and I found so many awesome gifts to bring back home. Staff were extremely helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Top quality items! Very well organized. I experience wonderful customer service. Highly recommend shopping here on your DC trip.”
“I think this is Black Owned. A black gentleman always helps me when I need to find fascinators. They have a wide selection of fascinators and african print apparel.”
“Outstanding customer service!Last week I visited the Gallery Shops [West building, ground floor].I was pleasantly surprised to see a great deal on LOQI Tote bags at this store.I would like to personally thank the sales associate Daniel or David [I am sorry in case I got his name wrong], a young professional who helped me to select it, answered all my questions, escorted me to the counter, and managed financial transactions.”
“This is the actual gift shop in the headquarters building of NASA so of course it's awesome. Really friendly staff that will help you find what you need in terms of clothing pins cups or astronaut ice cream”

600 Independence Ave SW, Washington“I bought space food and magnets.
There are 4 types of space food: 3 flavors of ice cream and dried strawberry.
It was about 8 dollars.
I thought it would be nice if there were more types.
I purchased the magnet shown in the photo. It was about 12 dollars.”
“Patrick's is a beautiful gem on the Wharf. I see in the reviews below other shoppers mention their price point and the owner being "rude", but I'll have to come to their defense. The owner is not rude, he's actually a lovely person with a dry sense of humor, which I realize some may take as rude, but he is not. Getting to know him has been a treat. The owners of this business have been in interiors and decor for a long while and have a gift. Their store is stocked with classic high-end dinnerware, tableware, art, candles, jewelry, picture frames, and all sorts of home goods and beautiful treasures. Mixed in with the higher-end offerings are plenty of affordable and beautiful items, too. I think a sign of a well-made shop is one that provides goods for all variations of shoppers, which is a challenge, but Patricks does this well. Do yourself a favor and visit them. I shop here often and cannot say enough kind things! I am excited to see what they bring out for Easter!”

“Peter, the owner, was absolutely amazing today. I accidentally put the wrong address on my delivery and unfortunately it went to the wrong house. Peter went out of his way to recreate my order and drive it back out to the correct location so that my mother could enjoy a birthday surprise. I can’t thank him enough or speak any higher of him and his team. I will be back!”
“I placed an order for a Fruit Basket to be delivered August 31, 2023. It was delivered with 2 hours. This Shoutout is for the Store Manager Ms. Racheal. She was very knowledgeable, patient and went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me. I will definitely keep her number and name in my contacts when I need to place another Edible Arrangement. Superior Work Ms.,Racheal. I am a very Happy Shopper, thanks to you !!Rev. Ola Thorpe-Cooper”
“Fantastic service. I ordered a same day delivery from Arizona and after hitting the send button, I realized it was 15 minutes until they close. I called to confirm my order was received and they could deliver same day. They really came through and delivered within two hours! Thank you so much for the great service and delicious strawberries.”
“Had a great experience using SHELTER! Used them to custom make a custom engagement ring and it came out beautiful! Coming in knowing about nothing on engagement rings, Magnolia walked me through all the steps helped me pick out styles and options I liked. They are very knowledgeable about stones and metals to use and what looks good. Could not be happier with the outcome. I felt the price was very reasonable as well. Would highly recommend!”
