Vanessa the branch manager is amazing! She’s very attentive and got me in and out within a few minutes. I came yesterday and had a few hiccups with another banker but Vanessa came over and saved the day.

This bank is really bad. Only 1 or 2 of the staff members are ever helpful or pleasant. Sadly, an overall poor customer service is what you will typically experience, ie. rudeness, negligence etc. Their policies, services & availability are fluid & inconsistent. The staff & even managers are unknowledgeable, their always short on cash & their ATM is often unavailable.

I have been banking with Woodforest National Bank at least 8 years after closing my account with Regions Bank. Last week I made a deposit for a large amount. It was not that large, but I guess it was too large for the bank tellers to understand why it belongs to me. At least that’s what I gather. Of course they were very friendly during the transaction. The manager verified the check in front of me and his Supervisor approved it. I was only given a small amount back which was deposited into my savings. I was told that there would be a hold on the check even though they verified it came from a legit source. I called yesterday to ask why the remainder of my funds were on hold and was simply told the check was in question and could not be verified. The check was not a personal one but came from an actual business( a law firm to be exact). I am upset because the company treated me like I am not entitled to have access to “ a large amount”. If I was a celebrity or a business owner the check would’ve never been questioned. All they had to do was contact the law firm to confirm or their commercial bank which was also listed on the check. Two excuses that the bank used that pissed me off was that they never saw a check like that before and it’s on hold because it’s such a large amount?. First of all , it was a regular check that came from another commercial banking business. Second of all, what the hell they mean it is such a large amount? What the hell do they tell ppl that get their taxes back who own actual businesses? Does the bank tell people that their tax check is such a large amount and they are going to place their funds on hold or did they tell me this because I am an African American?They are still holding my check hostage and won’t release all my funds. I contacted the customer service department to complain and I was told that they were looking into it?. Had I known that such a large amount was a big deal , I would’ve deposited it into a credit union account. Explaining how this check is my money was crazy. I have witnessed many people withdraw thousands and never were questioned. I am seriously thinking of withdrawing all of my funds and doing business elsewhere. I should be treated like a respectable human being and should be able to do business without hassle or discrimination. Please be careful where and who you do financial business with. If it was up to me , I wouldn’t trust any bank and keep my money in a safe. This has been a big lesson learned! I don’t know if it’s just that bank location or if this is how all Woodforest Banks act; however, I am looking for another one. Beware guys.

Always the best customer service at this branch. I have banked with Woodforest for years and this branch is by far the best with their customer service. Tionna and Jamal are always more than helpful and go above and beyond to serve their customers with pride and proficiency.

This is the only bank that would allow me to open an account at o e time because of an old check issue. The excellent Customer Service is 10's across the board no matter which location I go in.

I never leave reviews because I’m extremely lazy, but had to give props to the staff at this bank location. Don’t be surprised by their youth, these bankers are amazing. I had to close out my deceased brothers account and do a bunch of paperwork I was clueless about. The staff was amazing. They were very thorough, called me with updates and couldn’t have been more professional. Nothing about my brother’s death has been easy, except this. Thank you so much Woodforest bank for your professionalism and kindness. Very rare these days. Please give these kids a raise Mr Woodforest!!! : ) they certainly deserve it.

Most of the staff are young and have no experience in banking one of the actually told me that the WesternUnion service down and when I inquired that person said that they have to keep money directed towards banking services and cannot give money out towards WesternUnion

I mobile deposited a check which was approved and never credited to my account and now I have been charged for 3+ overdraft fees.. take it to the branch today and they said they have to put a hold on it and it will not be available for 10 day.. this is legalized robbery

The only problem I have is their phone customer care. They talk fast and from their nose. Nya nya nya nya nya.. speak professionally. They're all like that.
