Overall legit and helped my cat out a lot. Also affordable!
Dr Sussman and the vet techs did a great job with Meowys multiple ailments he had when we got him at the shelter. The front desk got us setup for appointments and handle refills promptly

We came here a few weeks ago for our dog to get her annual shots. The entire experience was delightful! The staff at the front desk were so welcoming and helpful and the vet and vet tech were so informative and caring for our dog who is notoriously anxious at the vet! It was one of the best vet experiences we've ever had! Thank you Wheaton Animal Hospital for your patience and care you provided for our dog :)

Dr gary schwartz has taken care of our three dogs over the past 30 years. he is competent, compassionate, available and the prices are reasonable. some of the staff has been there over 20 years so that suggests it's a good place to work. the staff is likewise competent, compassionate and available. i highly recommend them

I'm fostering a parrot from "Phoenix Landing". They arranged a checkup for "Apollo", my 22 year old foster Conure. We saw Dr Schwartz. His specialty is exotics. We had a lovely visit. Dr Schwartz has a vet tech who was very, very nice; and Dr Schwartz is extremely professional and knowledgeable. He was very gentle with Apollo. The visit went perfectly.

I've been a client of Wheaton Animal Hospital for nearly 30 years, and I wouldn't ever go anywhere else! The staff treats you like family and, most importantly, your furry family member is shown complete and total care and love! I would totally recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinary hospital for their four legged family member!

Excellent veterinary practice: competent, compassionate, dedicated, and down to earth. Dr. Schwartz, our go-to vet, has rare expertise in exotics including rabbits. He is responsive and thorough in follow-up communication. Front desk staff are usually friendly and good-humored. Easy parking, good location. Morning appointments are best for a calmer experience.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Schwartz. He's been the vet for my bird, snake and currently my turtle, Kevin as well as our three dogs and a few cats over the years. I'm so grateful to have an exotic animal vet so qualified and kind who gives us good and common sense advice. Thank you Dr. Schwartz!

$750 up charges over the $81 appointment fee and $20 mail clipping. One visit for $850! No estimates. The Vet said, "I don't size people up and insult them by telling them the price," and said for dogs over 9 she "always orders" a heart X-ray for $300 and blood tests for $300 and other tests that cost more than $50. The appointment was for nail clipping and to check a loose tooth. She said she couldn't check the tooth because the dog was nervous. The $81 fee is to walk in the door. No apologies for excessive upcharges. Not an ethical Vet.

Its small and the staff gives the energy you give them, so be nice. They really care about animals, but they're office/ way of business is archaic and needs an upgrade.

Vet and staff are super nice. Kept my pet calm through the whole experience and moved at his pace. He's very skittish and shuts down when he's scared so the fact that they moved slowly and went at his pace was just wonderful to see. The receptionist seems a bit burnt out but still super nice lady.

This office still requires patients to wear masks in 2023... pretty annoying virtue signaling and out of step. While the doctors and staff clearly care about animals, they are not very mindful of their owner's finances. The cost for service is very high with many procedures recommended that don't seem to be necessary. I paid over $2k in bills just for diagnostics on my old cat and then didn't have enough money left to pay for any procedures.
