I recently moved into a condo and was searching for an installer to help me with installation of a couple heavy mirrors as well as a gallery wall of sports memorabilia and some historic lithographs. I got on the waiting list and within a week Dylan was at my door to help. This personable young man knows about art! Not only did he make great suggestions about hanging height, arrangement and spacing, he worked quickly. In a mere 2 hours, he was done and it was perfection! Best money I ever spent and one of the best experiences I ever had selecting someone for a major project without a referral. I may not need more installation help anytime soon, but I will be passing his name along to anyone I know as the best person for the job. Thank you, Dylan!

The Chesapeake Framing Company has become our go-to framers and art installers. Mary Jo and her team are experts at the framing process and art installation. We have used their services in several of our clients home, and they have exceeded our expectations every time. They help with everything from choosing a frame and matte, to hanging artwork and objects throughout an entire home, including high value original artwork pieces. Mary Jo and her assistant did an incredible job hanging a very large, heavy framed photograph for us. We were so worried about our photograph being too heavy or complicated to hang, but they walked in confidently and had it up and perfectly level! Highly recommend!!

My wife was concerned that it would be too expensive to replace the glass in a frame that fell & broke... but Chesapeake Framing put in new UV-resistant glass and even added a wire (to help prevent it from falling again in the future) -- all for less then $15. So happy to get our child's art back up on the wall. Fabulous service from a local company -- thanks so much!

This company is the best! i would give them 10 star rating. First, they are pros at listening to your needs and selecting the best frames! The selection and quality of the frames are outstanding and the workmanship was perfect! They even did a really professional job of repairing a tear in one painting. Also, very timely and good follow. And the best if that the owner, Mary Jo, can come to your house and help to hang paintings. She has a real eye for what goes where, and hung everything to show them to their best advantage. The arrangements are really cohesive and perfectly installed! it was a delight working with this business from start to finish! I could not be happier! I would recommend them to you! you will be so happy!

I went to this framer because of the virtually perfect reviews online. The first two jobs they did for me went fine (they were simple, mostly just cutting and assembling a frame--no mat to cut and fit). The third job, though, was a bit of a disaster. The young employee who took my order was friendly and agreeable but didn't write down a number of things I specified. Later, worried about that, I called and spoke to the owner about my concerns, and when she looked up the order, she said "No, those things weren't noted." She then asked "Who took this order?" in a slightly annoyed way, and I answered "I don't know, don't you have the information there?" (It was her own employee.) She added the details that had been omitted from the order and I figured everything was all right. When I picked up the piece, I saw that they had framed it fine, but they had added glass...to an oil painting! I called the owner and she again looked at the order and agreed that nowhere had I ever specified glass. Instead of saying "Please bring the piece in and I'll take the glass out," she remarked "Hmm, that glass was expensive too," suggesting I should be happy I got a freebie. She also said it wouldn't harm the art, and claimed that the framer had put spacers between the glass and the canvas...though how would she know that? She hadn't watched it being assembled, or, as an experienced framer, she'd have realized immediately it shouldn't have had glass. And she told me that "A lot of galleries are now putting glass over oil paintings." In the end, she never did offer to make it right--i.e., fix it to be what I'd ordered. Nor did she apologize. I won't go back.

I brought them a pair of rare posters and a head-full of ideas on how to frame them. Mary was extremely helpful, making color suggestions that complimented the posters perfectly and turning them into focal points for our home.
