The location is difficult to park at with where it sits in the busy intersection of university and Connecticut Ave. We parked at the strip mall across university Blvd and I had a baby and toddler with me. We had to wait for someone at the desk and my toddler asked for potty. I was refused access to the bathroom and sent across the 6 lane busy road again with a 2 year old who expressed potty who's a ticking time bomb for an accident. Meanwhile, baby is annoyed being in the stroller and of course I'd lose my place in line. There was no accommodation or even an understanding tone and I was even getting the side eye for not wearing a mask and my children making some noise in the pin drop quiet bank. This is why mothers can't bank. I expect more from a former SunTrust.

Horrible branch. Incompetent manager. Makes up arbitrary rules, major league attitude. Tellers are hit-or-miss - again, major league attitude. Pre-programmed to say, "no." Absolutely no inclination whatsoever to adopt a "hi, how may I help you today" attitude - more like, "what do you want and why are you bothering me?" We have been Suntrust (and multi-predecessor) account holders for 48+ years. Yet every time we walk into this branch, with very limited exception, we are treated as," who are you, and why are you interrupting me today?" I will take my business elsewhere just as soon as possible. After all the time and money I have invested in this bank (and with BB&T as well), we deserve better. Truist - shame on you!!! Very bad branch. Shame, shame, shame.

Worst Bank in Kensington, I stopped yesterday and the lady mistreated me and was rude, I didn't understand at the beginning and she sent my check back and didn't wanted to talk to me. I have been with the bank for almost 30 years and I feel sad with the way she treated me. Mrs Stephanie was rude to me. Prior to this incident I had an emergency with my debit card. In Olney they told me to go to a branch that had the machine to reset the card. In Kensington they were the only ones with the machine working at the time. The manager told me he couldn't help me that day, and I had to do it another day, but I had to pay rent that particular day. He told me he could help me another day and he was very rude, i will do everything to transfer my account to another bank. I would recommend to save your time and use another bank. Due to there customer service it is surprising that they are still in business.

This bank is a complete waste of time whose only intention is to hold onto your money as long as possible. I opened up a savings account with the intention of using their online bill pay...a feature touted on every single page of the website, including with the savings account. Only thing is, you can't use the feature with a savings account. So I go back to close out my account, only to get the heavy sales pitch about opening a checking account (the teller even knew why I was closing the account...apparently it's a pretty common misconception people get from the false advertising). SunTrust offers me a cashier's check. They post-date it. That's right....a bank which claims to be solvent wont even let you withdraw money from a savings account on the same day. When I asked for my money today, the teller responded, "A bank will accept that and deposit it the day it clears." "Does SunTrust accept post-dated checks"? "Well no, but...." This doesn't even begin to broach the topic of the nearly impossible automated help phone line they have: "You can say things like, 'wire money from my account'". "Wire money from my account." "I'm sorry, that's not a valid option." Like I said, SunTrust can't even provide you money from your account on the same day. So unless you like making multiple trips, I'd go somewhere else.

So my bank is out of area and this location has always nice and caring staff as I usually need to change cash for quarters for laundry.

So my bank is out of area and this location has always nice and caring staff as I usually need to change cash for quarters for laundry. I've never had an issue about just getting quarters. They really are a caring local bank.
