I stopped in to buy a bottle of wine. This store was packed with people and they had a great selection of wines. I really liked how the type of wine was clearly marked by aisle,so I could find my Sauvignon blanc easily. They had quite a variety to pick from. They also had gourmet cheeses, gourmet crackers, and international candies. So, if I am in a hurry and I am making a holiday cheese board, this is a one stop shop. The prices were a little on the higher side, except for sale wines, which were very reasonable. If you are looking for wine, I would recommend giving them a try.

Over the years I've frequented the Rodman's in Kensington/Rockville because of their great wine and Christmas foods selection. BUT I also often hesitate going because the cashiers are Downright Rude! Not the staff who provide advice on wine but the cashiers. This last visit was no different and now I vow to never go back. The cashier practically threw my purchases into my bag. Ive no idea why she did this. I almost returned to ask for my money back. Nowadays there's plenty of competition at Home Goods, and Whole Foods and local wine shops. Sorry Rodmans but your days are numbered unless you get new, customer-friendly cashiers. What a shame for a local institution.

I like this store, they have a good selection of wines and European chocolates. The prices are also pretty good, but I would not call it a discount store.

Rodmans is great . A rude lazy cashier on purpose tried to charge me 4.57 for a 2.99 sale item then crashed the jar on the counter when I said oh no thank you. sunday evening THE OTHER CASHIERS ARE PROFESSIONAL not this one June.2023

After a long time shopping at Rodman's, Veirs Mill today was my last day! Last week I bought some wine. Got home and one taste and it was spoiled. I went back thinking they would either refund or get me a good one. The manager just pointed to a sign on the wall and told me that to look in the receipt it says no return beer and wine. Regardless of whether it's spoiled. Out the door I went! Not going back to a store that doesn't stand by what it sells.

It is fair to note that it has an eclectic array of international products, but please don't misconstrue the variety for reliability. Products found at one time are not certain to be found again. Over the years the selection has reduced disappointingly and the "Discount" in the store name is an absolute misnomer. There are no discounts to be found there. Most disappointing was the condescension of the wine attendant. Even after browsing for 10-15 minutes, he didn't bother to offer help. When I finally asked about a certain wine he was very dismissive, as he didn't seem to approve of my pedestrian tastes and rejection of their overpriced offerings and said, "you might find something over there," gesturing to some indeterminate location. Disappointing, but good news for MoCo, whose wine and liquor shops offer better selection, price, and service. Each of the three, two, and one star reviews make legitimate points about the store.

I stepped into this store out of pure curiosity since I was in the neighborhood and I like visiting stores that carry international items. I'm glad I did, i love trying international candy and snacks and this store had a nice variety of item. Some items at a very good price and some a little bit more expensive but not crazy. I will definitely visit again when I have more time so that I can check their wine selection.
