As someone who has been a backyard mechanic for forty plus years, I find that this incredible repair shop has the best diagnosis team I've ever come accross. Their understanding of cars - especially Prius' - is the best. On numerous occasions I have also found them to be totally honest, efficient, and very reasonable priced.

** WARNING - Long review** We were regular customers but within the past year they have cost us over 3k in repairs through 1) over charging us and 2) negligent service leading to a second mechanic having to fix the problem. In June 2023 we brought our Mazda CX-5 in to have the rotors looked at since the car was shaking when using the brakes. At the cost of over $2k we had- Front and Rear Brakes and Rotors replaced, calipers serviced, four new tires bought and balanced, and an oil change (for over $100 mind you). We also brought our car in a second time in June because the parking brake was sporadically sticking and would not release when trying to go into reverse. For this issue we were told the problem could not be replicated and things were fine. In September 2023 when the rear passenger tire starts smoking and smells like brakes, we again go to the mechanic. They replace the hydraulic hoses for the rear brakes for roughly $462. I ask why this was not done three months prior when we got all new brakes and was told "this is an issue we wouldn't have noticed before." I still question why the hoses were not inspected at the June visit (negligence in my opinion). Earlier this month (June 2024) we seek a new mechanic because our parking brake is still causing issues and we no longer trust Mustache Mechanics to do a thorough inspection. We take our car to Glen's Auto Service (recommended as a mechanic familiar with Mazdas) and within ten minutes a mechanic was aware of the issue at hand since he has seen it many times before. However, due to complete negligence and faulty labor on behalf of Mustache Mechanics we get this message: On your 2016 Mazda CX-5 the rear calipers were leaking brake fluid, some of the fluid leaked on to the parking brake actuators causing them to fail. Due to this failure the brake pads and rotors were very burned. To fix the vehicle we had to replace the rear brake rotors, pads, calipers, and the parking brake actuators. I have included with this email the Invoice for the repairs, the codes that were present on the vehicle, and pictures of the damaged parts. Thank you. We had to replace our brakes and rotors within one year of them being installed on our car. The mechanic at Glen's was aghast at the condition of the car and said, "I cannot believe the brakes didn't lock up on you while driving." He also pointed out that our tires had been balanced in six locations. Not four, but six. I would like to point out that up until last spring and summer we didn't have a bad experience with Mustache Mechanics. But I can say with absolute confidence that they will never get my business again.

Shout out to Mustache Mechanics Auto Repair for a stellar job. They diagnosed an electrical issue wreaking havoc on my car's system that three other shops missed. They were thorough, fast, and above all great with their communication over text, email, and phone. They get my highest recommendation.

Thanks to Nestor, our Prius is back on the road, allowing us to get back and forth to the hospital without worry. I had a fantastic experience at Mustache Mechanics. I used to take my Honda to the dealer for service, but that ends today. Nestor and team were thorough, professional, and timely. Their quote and approval communication via text and email was a dream- transparent and easy-to-use. Their overall manner and customer service was warm and honest, and I highly recommend this local shop. Great.

These mechanics are as good as it gets. Highly, highly recommended. They are extremely kind, professional, and honest people. Edly, who schedules appointments, is such a nice person. My family appreciates everybody here very much and at this point we wouldn’t go to any other mechanics to have our cars worked on. You found the right spot to bring in your automobile. That’s for sure.

My car wouldn't start! Panic sets in! I went across the street to a different mechanic who would come look at my car or give me any advice about what to do. So I called my insurance agent. He recommended Mustache Mechanics, because they work with a lot of Priuses. Nestor (the owner) and Egly the receptionist put me at ease. They gave me the contact info for Benjie's Towing, who came to jump start my car. Then, I drove over to their shop. They were able to change my Prius battery (a gel one) for $325. The work was completed within 24 hours and I can drive my car again!

Very pleasant, extremely efficient, competency =quality, and honest!! Very honest! Brought them my car for an estimate on what I thought was an expensive rewiring job for my front end electrical system (based on what a friend thought was the problem) and they could have easily gone along with that theory and estimated accordingly. But instead the mechanic (I think his name is Nestor?) evaluated the car, was honest/ no BS and told me the problems were caused by a few shot connectors that needed replacement, not a rewiring job, which he promptly took care of asap w/ my permission. Problem solved to the tune of an hour's labor plus some inexpensive parts, and boom I was done and my trust earned for future business on my part + recommendations to family, and possibly a lot of people reading this. It's hard to find a good, honest mechanic who is fair, isn't it?! I was so psyched when I realized I had just done that ( I'm not from around here and wouldn't know who's good in this area, as a new resident).

I took a 10+ year old SUV with 200k plus miles to them because my car was shaking, throwing a check engine light, and it would have failed inspection. They fixed it the same day and charged me a fair price.I also told them that I was eager to learn how to do my own repairs, and they gave me tips on parts that were knockoff brands that needed fixing sooner than later, and I was aware of the knock off brand parts, but wasn't aware that they were prone to failing. Anyway, around 3 months my car started giving a blinking check engine light, I replaced the part they had recommended with genuine Ford, and the problem went away. The fair price plus their free tip on a DIY that I could do on my own makes me trust to return to them again for something I can't do on my own.In short, Mustache Mechanics is my go to place for car help.

We were looking for an older Jeep Wrangler and found a posting from Mustache Mechanics. We had looked at many other Jeeps at other dealers and had low expectations. However, after meeting the people at Mustache and seeing how they stand behind any car they sell, we were hooked on them. We bought the Jeep and could not be happier.We highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a vehicle. They are stand up people which is hard to find in used car business.

I highly recommend Mustache Mechanics for his advices on cars and the repairs that need to be done.His prices are reasonable and the customer service is outstanding.I have been taking my Rav4 2006 to him for over 13 years. Now my car is 17 years old and it is still going strong.Thanks to Mustache Mechanics technicians for the wonderful work done on my Rav4 oner all these years.
