Two and half months, they couldn't solve my account problem, still waiting for my new card. I called and went there so many times still they keep sending me to each other, I feel like a ping pong ball! Have money there but can't use it to pay my bills, my medicines and they know I have cancer. "0" star!

I just experience the worst customer service ever, and I've seen and encounter some real bad ones. M&T you really need to do better when it comes to your staffing. having a Rep speak to you with disrespect, not to mention yelling at the top of her voice is utterly disgusting. I've been with this bank for over 4yrs, and I'm ready to leave. DO BETTER!!!

Called ahead and asked if a notary was available, was told yes. Staff member only notarized half of what we needed before saying we had to leave so he could go back to work since people were waiting. There was one customer in line. Only took up about 10 minutes of their time before being considered too burdensome to help. Lazy, rude, would not rely on team to manage any thing of value

This is the third time in the last 4 years of visiting with this bank that I’ve had the displeasure of interacting with a not so decent bank teller !I don’t bank here normally & wouldn’t !But the disposition of these people is repulsive!

I am traveling abroad and when I tried to login to our account, got a message that the account had been locked. The customer service people refused to help unless I could recite the entire account number (which I am not sure many people can unless they are nearby their checkbook or can actually access their online banking!). The woman was rude and told me I should have told them that I was going to travel (like as if I have time to call this bank where our HOA accounts are and my bank each time I travel, which is 50-75% of my time). Will be moving the accounts - these guys are awful.

Wanted to open a new account and just leave it for 6 months. They mentioned dormancy but couldn't explain exactly what triggers it so I left.

I work in the neighborhood, my organization banks with M&T, and I have an account there so I can cash expense checks, etc. I am at the branch 2-3 times a week for transfers & deposits for work. The tellers are friendly but seem to turn over often. This bank is unusual in that there Is only partial glass between you and the teller, which makes it easier to talk, ask questions, build a relationship, etc. It often seems like there is a line and things move slowly. For example today I spent 20 minutes in the branch. There were three customers in front of me and I had two simple transactions, a bank transfer for work and cashing my expense check. Pro tip: use the drive through whenever possible; there is almost never a line there.
