This shop is my go to place when I am looking for a unique gift or need a one of a kind hand-painted furniture piece for my home. The quality is top-notch, and there is always something new. I am not a DIYer, but fascinated with the selection of chalk paints and artist materials at one of the booths of this shop. Happy to support the eco-friendly business that promotes upcycling

Very disappointing. Not much furniture (or at least appealing furniture.) Space was very run-down and I was on the verge of asthma attack but I guess that's to be expected in antique shops. Overall, mostly kitschy knick knacks like lawn gnomes and ash trays. Also, no one to help me. I was disappointed because I love upcycled furniture and there's not much of it on Antique Row. Maybe I came in a bad day. I believe they had a storefront on Connecticut Ave briefly and it was much better curated and have some great pieces. Maybe I missed something.

I rarely write on-line reviews, but I must make an exception for Joyful Heart Reclaimed. The harder-to-find vintage Pyrex casserole set I ordered arrived promptly and in the excellent vintage condition described in the post. Janna was great about answering all my questions. She did a superb job packing these items with care, and at a reasonable rate. I have no doubt that I will be shopping here again!

I ordered a set of Pyrex Dishes and the set is beautiful. It was packaged with alot of care to insure it arriving all in one piece. I dealt with Janna and she is an angel to deal with. The product description was spot on

The shop is located within Kensington’s antique village which makes it extra appealing because you can browse all of the other local artists and vendors. This shop in particular is upstairs and is such a bright, colorful space. Definitely recommend a visit!

So excited Joyful Heart Reclaimed has moved into Kensington Antique Row. Great location at the Kensington Antique Village with plenty of parking, lots of shipping options around and a delightful tea room next door. The shop is well stocked with my favorite artisan products. I found everything i needed to refinish a vintage dresser: from general finishes wood stain to Dixie belle Silk paint and IOD transfers and stamps. This shop is open 6 days a week, so a breeze to swing by whenever you need quality supplies for your project.

Lovely things, excellent work -- all done with soul. And the best people to engage with, so kind, so pleasant, so interesting. Janna understood my style instantly, and identified the best pieces for me after the desk I was originally interested in was taken. Finishing this desk was a battle royale due to the veneer that they did not realize was originally there, but they did it! And Scott personally tapped in every one of these tacks around the chair. These people do not quit.Janna also walked me through some detailing of a vintage piece that has been in my family since forever and distressing of a picture frame -- as in, countless messages back-and-forth until I felt completely comfortable. And it came out with fabulous results.On top of the top-notch work, it's wonderful to support a small business. I have loved every moment that I have been in touch with Janna and Scott, and look forward to more with these people I now consider friends. Do yourself a favor and check out Joyful Heart Reclaimed!

Joyful Heart Reclaimed is wonderful, and I have not even had the pleasure of going inside yet! I was working on a painting project during quarenteen and discover that I was short on paint. Joyful Heart was the only place in the area that carries it, and they were so amazing to deal with that I will definitely be going to check it out once this is all over. Coordinating a no-contact pick up of the paint I needed over text was a pleasantly seamless experience. I love supporting local businesses, especially during trying times like this, and Joyful Heart had definitely gained a loyal customer from me.
