This metal shop is a great place for either beginners to make their first piece of jewelry or for experienced metal workers of almost any level to hone their skills under the patient hand of a master artist/craftsman. Michael Schwartz's school is a creative place where everyone feels welcome while learning both the exacting precision and the artistry of metal smithing.

OK here is a more detailed description of what happened. I hired Michael to do a job in 2008. I made a $500 deposit to him which I have proof of on a previous bank statement. It has been more than five years now and I have received nothing but excuses. I just want to make sure no one else has their money stolen by this dishonest business.

I had a good experience and enjoyed the consultation with Mike. I can understand where Aaron K. (assuming you the reader sees my review before his was deleted) is coming from but his review sounds fishy, His profile only has two reviews, he says he is in California and lacks in and specific details about why this shop did him wrong. With that said, I went to see him about a consultation for a custom job, it was a walk in and he was so nice and took his time with me. He was strait forward and with the project's complexity he was honest with the price and looked out for my own good and wanted me to know this would be something extravagant. He does GREAT work, he even has two fully working carousels he made which looks like they human size ones shrunk down. Intricate detail masterfully done, you get what you pay for and he is worth every cent.
