“This place didn't look like much from the outside, but my husband and I stumbled in and were really impressed by how organized and clean everything was. The prices were also very reasonable. Also, there were even dressing rooms and they were open and clean! I very much recommend this location.”

“Decent selection, but not a ton of stuff compared to the second ave thrift store nearby. They had a medium amount of clothes, a good amount of furniture, not too many accessories, not too many shoes, and a decent amount of home goods. I would probably return for a quick visit if I was looking for something specific.”

“I could go here for hours and still not see everything, very fun to peruse and a good place to find supplies and things for all sorts of projects and decorating inside & out”

“The thrift store gets 5 stars in my book but I have them 4 because of who they have accepting donations how could a thrift store not accept baby items. Just looked in the bed of our truck and said no I can't take nothing. Just think they need to get someone to take better look at what's being offered.”

“Crowded aisles full of gems, so you really need to look. My favorite type of thrift store! Fair prices on everything I saw and the gentleman at the counter helped me to my car”

“I was visiting my sister in Pasadena and we hit the thrift stores. Some thrift stores are so loaded with rules and product selection you can't find interesting stuff that I like. Nearly giving up we decided to visit your shop and I walked away with good electronic gems. I will be visiting again”

“I'm all about reuse of items. Too many items in perfectly good shape go to the dump. I've found some beautiful and valuable furniture from the restore. The bedroom set for my guest room is made of quality oak wood and looks barely used. I recommend this place to everyone I know.”

“Absolutely AMAZING!! The volunteers are so generous and kind. The store is clean, well organized and you can’t find almost anything!! I highly recommend! They definitely help military families a lot!! Thank you for all-you-can-eat do!!”

“Have enjoyed donating to this very friendly and well manned location. The store itself is organized and always has people to help you. Prices are reasonable. Compared to Goodwill- this place is a WINNER!”

“I have found some great things at this store. It’s small but full of everything. Its like a treasure hunt when ever I go. The staff is so kind and the store is clean.”

“I go here often looking for items. Most the employees are very friendly. The one woman cashier has a great attitude and always says hello and if she waits on you--a friendly goodbye--etc as does the mgr. I hope the mgr knows the great job she does greeting the customers. But then it could be they recognize me etc.The carpet should be really deep cleaned. In several places(!!) you can see where something spilled and it left very large 'stain spots'. (Carpet really bad).Last year the senior discount was 20%; this year 10%; they should keep it at 20%..All in all a nice place to shop”

“This is a nice place to see something antique, unique or something you never knew about. There is one area of improvement, which I hope would not take much effort to address. When you come to the store, the first thing you want to know what is the discount color today. So you take a look at the monitor. It takes a few minutes to show all other information and then it takes about 30 seconds to show the discount color. Who needs 30 seconds to see the color? Why should one wait a few minutes for the color? This is especially painful when a store has only one display, at the front, like it is in Columbia location. What would be the best mode is you show other information for, say, 15 seconds, then you show the color for 3 seconds, then you show the next piece of other information for 15 seconds and then the color for 3 seconds etc.”

“This is my honey hole of secrets. Very busy and constant flow of new merchandise. Staff is busy and are kind. I've seen grumpy customers for no reason to staff. They're truly busting butt working hard to make us happy. Large variety and selection in a small area. If you want space and credit cards this is NOT for you, but if you like the thrill of the hunt and don't mind to be patient; this may be your new spot. Tell only your best friends of this secret seriously. Happy hunting.”

“I have used Once Upon A Child Elliott City for quite a while now. I came in Sunday to exchange clothes but was greeted by a rep who ignored me for a while and then looked behind her at the other reps. I’m thinking I was in the wrong line. She finally speaks to me and says they are no longer accepting clothes. I was shocked…because I saw clothes everywhere being sorted. I questioned her about it and mentioned I did not receive an alert on my phone saying this. She was very abrupt. I asked her name and she told me I’m not giving you that. Another co-worker came by and tried to assist. She stated they stop taking in clothes an hour before closing. I looked at my watch and it was 4:50, so I was there prior but they chose not to accept my clothes. I came back Monday and spoke with a very friendly manager that apologized for the treatment I received, took my clothes in and didn’t seem annoyed with me even though there were more items in-front of her than the rep who was rude to me. I love coming here and haven’t had any issues, So I was surprised at the treatment I received initially but I respect the apology and treatment I received when I returned.”

“Great finds! Love this place. There is a huge selection of every part of a thrift store. There are so many clothes, it is a bit overwhelming. They wife variety of home goods. The line was super long and there’s late, but worth it for the finds.”

“Very nice store. Selection is good in most departments. Men's department us a little disorganized however.Great variety of dvd's!!Household items very well stocked.Exercise equipment for the most part would all need to be repaired. However items such as walkers for the handicapped are in reasonably priced and usually in stockSuper friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff.”

“Not the best one I've been to, but it's still a goodwill nonetheless, so it gets 5 stars from me! There aren't any half price sales though, which is a bummer, and it doesn't have the biggest selection either. Also, some of the items are overpriced (like $10 brand name t-shirts, glassware, etc.) but you can still find some good gems. Despite that, still a fun place to be.”

“Some good finds but it was very sparse. They had furniture, clothes, a few books, games, housewares, accessories, and shoes. There wasn’t a huge selection especially for men’s clothes. I typically go to Savers in Towson which is much better but wanted to try this. It was fine.”

“If you want to find something unique and at a lower price, that's the place you want to go. They colored items every week. After one week, the prices will be 50% off automatically. After 3 weeks, the prices will be 75% off. So, if you want lower priced things, remember the color code and come back next week. Good luck if no one buys it.”

“Halloween & Christmas decors available when we visited. Wasn’t expecting to buy something, but I found some interesting kitchen items that I need at good price. Its a Goodwill same as others. Cashier was friendly though, took time to carefully pack the items I bought. Take time to browse, you might get lucky”

“Very nice items and faire prices. The only issue is that they don’t have any bathroom at least one for the clients. If you need to go to the bathroom you have to go to Staples beside the store.”
