Yay! Timmy is amazing! He is so friendly and patient. He gave Chloe all the love that she would have received at home, which made me feel at ease with her gone for 2 weeks. We enjoyed seeing all the progress through pictures and videos each day. She does so much better walking on the leash and she listens to commands without treats. I’m hoping we will continue to see the return on investment as we practices with her at home. Thanks Timmy!

I wasted over $1,000 to unknowingly abuse my dog through Off Leash K9. I sought help because my dog was reactive toward other dogs, loud vehicles, and people. I was desperate to help my dog and myself and Off Leash K9 had good reviews.
What these folks didn’t tell me was that my dog’s reactivity, what I thought was outright aggression, was actually fear - that she was scared of all of these things and trying to protect herself from them. So with the use of the e-collar (really just a shock collar let’s be honest), I punished her every time she showed a fear response at Off Leash K-9’s direction.
This definitely changed her behavior, but rather than helping her feel more comfortable with the things that scared her, we instead punished her for being afraid and taught her to hide her fear responses. I wish I had looked at the science behind dog behavior, because I now know research shows that punishment through things like e-collars, buzz collars, spray bottles, etc. are incredibly counterproductive to changing dog behavior long term and they seriously traumatize the dog.
I’m so very grateful to have met a Fear Free trainer who taught me about positive reinforcement. It has improved my relationship with my dog immensely and it has ultimately lead to the sustained behavior change I was looking for without hurting my dog or contributing to her fear and terror.
Please do not waste your money on abusive, ignorant training through Off Leash K9.

Tammy is AMAZING!!! I sent my 1.5 year old Rottweiler to Off Leash K9 for a 2 week board and train and wow was it worth every penny.
Before training, my dog wouldn’t listen, would lunge at cars barking, and worst of all was walking his 100 lb of muscle where he would pull forcefully the entire walk leaving me uncomfortable with my level of control.
During training, I felt confident he was in good hands. Tammy uploaded photos and videos every night with a report card describing his progress and meal completion. I also learned a lot of training tips from watching these videos on how to properly handle and correct him. I could see his progress immensely after just a few days. He slept at her house (she has kennels in her basement and a large secured fenced in yard he could roam). He was never in danger of other dogs as he was kept separate but always around them for exposure and distraction training. She took him ALL over town (to parks, baseball fields, Home Depot, downtown Ellicot city, etc.) to further expose him to cars, people, and different smells.
After the training (he has been home a week now), I have noticed a massive change. He now knows we are the boss and he has to listen to us. Not only does he listen to the trained commands (sit, come, place, off, etc) but he overall is more in tune and well behaved. I also didn’t realize this but you get to keep the e collar and remote when you go home to continue working with him. I took him on a walk and he stayed at my side without a single pull.
Overall, don’t think. Just sign up. A well trained dog is better for you and for the pup and off leash knows what they are doing.

I recently came across Off Leash K9 Training when looking for a training facility that better fits our needs and I am so glad I did!! We’ve been stuck at a stand still between leash pulling and leash reactivity with our Australian shepherd. Always nervous and lacking confidence. After meeting with Jen and knowing she would be the trainer that would be taking on our sassy Aussie for his 2 week board and train I immediately felt at ease. She was very transparent and clear with expectations. I loved getting all of the pictures, videos and report cards to see how my pup was doing throughout his board and train and could tell he was in great hands! At pickup, Sampson definitely seemed more confident, happy and ready to work. Jen worked wonderfully with him and we cannot wait to continue working with Off Leash K9 Training!!

This was the best decision I’ve made on training my pup. The two week program helped train him to better manage distractions, follow commands, and be off leash without fear of him running off. My trainer was amazing and kept me up to date on his progress with videos and pictures so I knew what was going on while he was there. Thank you thank you!

I picked up my 1.5yr old gsd. I saw an instant and immediate change in his demeanor and ability to listen to commands. I am beyond grateful and impressed with the facility and trainer Tim. I HIGHLY recommend TIM!

Best training for my grand pup at Off Leash K9 Training. Tammy, his trainer had him for two weeks and she did an outstanding job. I will definitely be bringing Ollie back for some additional technique training. I highly recommend if anyone's looking for a great training facility. Great trainers, outstanding atmosphere and it really shows they care about your pet.

We brought our 11 month yellow lab puppy to Off Leash and they were great. We received updates (pictures, videos, report cards) daily. The training was excellent and our puppy is now follows commands and has improved with healing. Thank you!!!

All of our experiences with Off Leash k9 have been outstanding. But the board & train with Tammy was off the charts. Our puppy is still his sweet self but so well mannered and responsive. The daily updates (including pics and videos) from our trainer helped us miss him less and also gave us insight into his progress. We opted for the full 2 week program and felt that it was worth it for our goldendoodle. Watching it “click” for him the second week was impressive! We loved them and feel like we’ve found forever resources who love our dog and are there to help us with training at any time!

Nothing but great experiences with K9 Off leash. The trainers are very knowledgeable and have made this process very easy. I started with private lessons, which are very structured to make sure that my puppy learned all the basics. I feel very comfortable leaving her there for the day to be socialized with other puppies. I will be bringing her back for advanced obedience training.

I took my 3 month old golden retriever puppy to Tricia at Off leash K9 and both pup and I had the best experience. Tricia was very knowledgeable, supportive, and helped me problem solve through 6 weeks of individual lessons to help my puppy gain the necessary preliminary skills. Off Lease K9 provides all types of training. I will be moving on to e-collar training and then therapy dog training with them. I wouldn’t be investing my time and money if I didn’t believe wholeheartedly in this training facility!

We wanted to find something more effective for our pup since she struggled with her lessons at the prior place (Pet Smart). Her trainer Timmy has changed her into a completely different dog. She is now well mannered and has demonstrated that she learned a lot in the 2 week board and train program. Timmy is an extremely educated/skilled trainer, and even while training us as we picked her up he was patient and explained the training clearly. I highly recommend k9 off leash as well as picking Timmy has your trainer. My dog Shelby would not be the way she is without him and we thank him for all he’s done for us and her.
