Mr. Moody was always on time and polite. He worked with me even out of state. His provided a fair estimate that did not change even when some of the details did. His team was cordial and capable while respecting they were moving other people's things. Mr. Moody is a seasoned professional and a "down to earth" person. He extended himself in order to move my mother in law out of state, am grateful for his services.

i've used this company three times and have always had a good experience. They show up right on time and are careful in packing/moving. Would definitely recommend.

I used this company twice more than a decade ago. The owner and employees were very professional and packed, handled, and delivered everything with the finest of care.

I was extremely satisfied moving with Moody Movers. They arrived on time in the morning of the scheduled day with their truck. Their truck had a special ramp that made it easy to roll up heavy items with a dolly. The day of my move was a couple of days after snow and ground was partially covered with half melting snow. I was pleased to see that they had special carpet to cover their path to and from outside to inside of the house so that their steps did not leave any mess on the carpet or hardwood floor. They wrapped all the furniture with special blankets and plastic wrap and taped them. I was thinking even if it was raining there wouldn't be a chance for furniture to get wet or stained. Moving heavy pieces of furniture requires strong men but in addition to strength and power they also used good thinking and planning how to move and maneuver the pieces so they could go around the tight corners and passages. They took great care not to hit the walls or light fixtures or railing of stairways. The best part that really impressed me was that my dining table, which was a big round table, wouldn't go through the stairs. The diameter of the table was simply larger than the distance between the walls of the stairs. We were all thinking about leaving the table on the first floor. Mr. Moody solved the problem. He had special straps in the truck. They strapped the dining table and pulled it up to the deck of second the floor and brought it inside, without any scratch. I was happy to see the job was done according to the plan. Moody movers are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I am pleased at the job they did. I recommend them as the best moving company.

I would never use these guys again nor recommend them for moving services. The owner quoted me a price of $450-$570 over the phone after i described everything in my apartment to move -- and after the move was complete he hit me with a $740 bill.
He used the excuse that the additional money was because he brought an additional helper with him for the move (which was not told to me prior to the move taking place - it would be expected that if a company is to bring extra labor they would inform you of it prior instead of just assuming, right?). Additionally, the workers told me the morning job they had scheduled was cancelled, so my job was the only one they had to do that day...which leaves no excuse for charging me for extra help; they scratched the door of my old apartment, broke the drywall in the corners of the hallway leaving my old apartment, and put a 3" dent in the drywall of my new apartment. During the move, the owner asked me if i would personally drive one of his helpers to my new destination in my own personal vehicle because they couldn't transport him in their own truck (which i did). When i contacted the BBB to file a complaint against him, he blatantly lied and said there was " a flight of stairs he wasn't aware of, and that he had to walk 60 yards to have to load the truck" Which is a flat out lie, the "flight" of stairs he referenced is 3 steps that is a step-down from the door to the garage level -- and the entire garage is not even close to 180ft long; i measured the distance from where he would have potentially parked his truck (best case scenario) to where he had to park because he couldn't fit the truck... and it was 42ft.
I would highly recommend anyone considering finding a low-priced mover that you use a different company and read reviews on them. Im not the only negative review of these guys, there are several others on Yelp and other review sites. To top it off -- his employees told me that he pays under the table (which I've reported to the IRS). So if payroll tax evasion isn't shady enough -- just think that his shady operation isn't contributing to a damn bit of fixing up the town you live in.

I found Moody Movers on the Better business bureau website. I terrible experiences with moving company's in the past... this was NOT the case with Moody Movers. They told me they would arrive between 9-10 am, and they arrived at 9:30am. They were extremely professional and went above and beyond by disconnecting appliances. I will definitely use them if I have future moving needs.
