Moms use to be great, but they are not stocked up half the time. The hot food part is ok but they are stingy with food, even adding sauce and charge extra for everything for only a little. And their food prices are expensive. Some them are rude as hell. I'm thinking about just making whole foods my store. I went there and they were pretty nice and the prices are lower especially if ur a prime member and they sale organic also......

Love this place. They have all kinds of unique things and some of your typical stuff too. Looking for vitamins, this is the place to go for those hard to find supplements and vitamins.

My first time shopping at MOMs. Loved the selection, loved my cashier. I didn't catch his name, he had on a rasta hat during my visit. Cool guy. What I didn't like about my visit... I placed an order at the food bar with Blue. I asked if I can pay for it upfront, so that I could just grab it on my way out. I pay for my groceries, head over to grab my food. Blue is with a customer whom I ended up engaging in convo with about menu items. Blue heads to the register and yells down to me (mid conversation) that my food was there. I'm like "ok thanks". I continue on with my conversation, when Blue yells out, "aren't you going to pay?!!" I reminded her that I already paid. Mind you none of this was said in a customer friendly tone. She seemed very agitated. I also found it rude how she stepped away from the lady and I just to head to the other end, interrupt our convo and yell from the register regarding my food. She had been standing right in front of us. Weird vibe. The lady and I were both black woman so now I'm getting racist vibes. Sorry not sorry Blue, that our blackness bothered you so much. Blues attitude was definitely blue and went against the message on the door when you walk in about the good vibes and whatnot.

Just a quick stop to drop off some old Christmas lights into their recycle area. This is a great resource to keep things out of the landfill.

I love the Naked Lunch Kitchen! Where do I start??! Their house-made dressings are AMAZING. My go to menu item are the jackfruit tacos with the spicy crema and regular crema. Now, the location in Ivy City DC call it spicy and regular crema. Here, though it says spicy crema on the jackfruit taco description, the staff will act confused and then share its the buffalo dressing. Whatever, just smother my tacos! The dressings are THAT GOOD! The tzatziki and jalapeño lime vinaigrette are my next faves! I've tried other times on the menu, but my second go to is often a build your own. The pickled onions are a staple for me. MOM's is an overall a nice spot to shop and find clean, organic food. The prices for some items are definitely higher than your Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, but I am willing to pay for convenience and the lesser crowds when it comes to my shopping experience. The familiar faces in my neighborhood location in Ivy City and the fact that they knew me as a frequent shopper made for a very personable shopping experience. Try the jackfruit tacos and prepare to be obsessed! :)

I love Mom's- only wish it were a little closer to my area. I'm a huge fan of their organic produce- fruits like watermelon, strawberries, persimmons, peaches. And also their greens are very fresh. I used to enjoy the prepared refrigerated foods like the vegan Mac and cheese from Dodah's kitchen but the price of this item had gone from around $3.99 a few years ago to $6 something which is ridiculous for the same quantity and probably lower quality. I have noticed prices of things going up at Mom's and everywhere else, with everyone's ridiculous excuse being "because COVID!" It's just straight up greed with companies screwing over the customer in every possible way by raising prices like this. Pretty soon, basic food will become unaffordable. I love the foods at the Bake Shop which is the place that prepares foods like juices, tacos, sandwiches, and baked goods. I usually like the tacos- this time I tried the vegan jackfruit tacos which was really good- lots of flavor and just by looking at the colors, I can tell how healthy it is! Colorful foods are so inspiring!
