YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. I have had issue after issue since i signed my lease. It began with the poor education of amenities by the office staff. The security doors are not locked. After the few months they were broken, people keep taping and jamming them so they wont work now either. The garage door is broken and stays open. Cars are vandalized regularly because of that. They're stealing tires and breaking windows. Office staff lacks effective customer service training. They do not respond to emails timely. The hours suck so it's hard to catch someone in person unless you telework during the week. The apartment itself is beautiful. The floors and walls actually minimize noise. Maintenance is friendly and helpful. The trash piles up regularly outside of the trash chutes because residents are lazy. The way this property is managed and kept is the real issue. If you wanna feel like you played yourself, go ahead and sign up. Otherwise, avoid at all costs.

I want to thank Jeniffer Thompson (Leasing Agent) for taking the time out of her busy schedule today for taking me on an unscheduled tour. Jenniffer you are the bomb!!! Thank you for caring and listening. You don't know how much your time/attention and your understanding have put me at ease, ensuring me that everything would be ok. Jenniffer, Thanks again!

Awesome location close to the metro! Floor plans are incredible. The current management team has had its set of challenges especially with the pandemic. I'm sure their workload has increased beyond anyone's comprehension. But they have worked hard to make this community a comfortable place to call home. Eniola is professional, provides excellent customer service and is one of the most authentic people you will meet.

Very impressed with the patience and professionalism of Kayla. She made my move in process extremely smooth. She was very knowledgeable on the property as we as followed on all of my concerns. The front office staff played a huge role in my selection of this unit.

Currently a new renter & looking to move in with my significant other. The management office was readily accessible, answered and responded quickly via phone. Crystal was one of the office representatives that issued us a tour of the spaces. She was a phenomenal tour guide, generous and attentive to our questions and concerns regarding the spaces while touring. We love how convenient this property is with Morgan Boulevard station being within walking distance!

I've been a resident for about 6 months now in this relatively quiet community. Over the past couple of weeks, I noticed issues with my washer. Maintenance looked at the washer, and determined that the issue was beyond repair and I would need a new washer. I was very nervous about the process of requesting a new appliance during a pandemic. There are so many things that the management office is dealing with, and I didn't expect this new washer to come any time soon. I was pleasantly surprised! I was fortunate enough to get in touch with Jasmine, who went above and beyond to make sure I got my washer in just a few days. Jasmine was also very pleasant, resident oriented, and followed up with her team, as needed. I'm so grateful to live in a community with such a responsive management team. Thanks, Jasmine. And thanks, Century!

I was a resident of century Summerfield for a year. On dec 26,2019 Henrieta Murphy (Debbie)willingly gave someone that's not a resident my ledger when they came into the office inquiring about my lease, then my ledger was given to her by Ms. Debbie based on her assumptions that she lived there. Per my lease in section 17 states that "If someone requests information on you or your rental history for law- enforcement, government, or business purposes, we may provide it." She is neither of the following that it stated in the lease to provide that confidential information to. Yet she was given that information without being asked for identification or to check to see she was on the lease. In the afternoon of January 3rd, 2020 I came into the office to speak with Crystal Blount about the breach of my rights as a resident at Century Summerfield. After speaking with Crystal she acknowledged where they went wrong and stated this never happened with leasing giving out residents information before and they were wrong for doing so. She went to Speak with Debbie, Debbie stated that "she thought and assummed this person was a resident, so there was no need to check". With that I stated to Crystal that i wanted out of my lease because I didn't feel safe with knowing my information can be given out to anyone anytime without my knowledge. Crystal then gave me the option to transfer to another apartment home at a higher rate or month to month. She told me to go home and sleep on it. In that process I requested for my locks to be changed and she informed me that they would be changed immediately, which they were. Later I received a phone call from Debbie at approximately 4:40 to inform me that This person was on her way to "**** me up". She verbally threatened a resident in the office & no authorities or security was called. January 7th, 2020 after being told to sleep on my options and due to the current events I requested to be released from my lease and I I left in good standing. I turned in my keys to Crystal and left the apartment in excellent condition. I have requested a meeting or phone call from corporate. I have emailed someone in corporate by the name of Beth Maddux. Each time I emailed her my statement, I kept receiving an email stating I was blocked from emailing her, she then told me to forward my email to crystal and have her forward it to Beth. Did this happen, No! Later I received a call from Beth stating I would have to Pay the buyout fee. Even with them breaching the lease. Still today nobody has gotten my email & Now I have an attorney which will deal with this matter. To whom who wants to rent here, Go somewhere

I moved in this complex in 2017 and I was so happy to make this place my first home! I loved it up until this year (2019) when I started experiencing MICE!!!! nothing can stop them. I've called Terminix and reported it to the leasing office, and still to this day, I have MICE. I am breaking my lease because of it and am living at another location for the next few months. Maintenance and trash-monitoring and has always been. I can't live in a MOUSE INFESTED apartment. It's dirty and makes me feel uncomfortable. GOODBYE SUMMERFIELD. Don't waste your hard earned money living in an unclean complex, I regret living here

I moved into Century Summerfield a little over a month ago and I honestly have only one issue. On move in day, my apartment was not ready. It needed to be painted, was missing appliances, and other small things needed to be fixed. I gave them the entire day to get everything together and when only a few minor things were updated, I had a conversation with the property manager and head of maintenance. The next day, they upgraded me to a better floor plan (for the same price) and I've been happy ever since =D I haven't had any maintenance issues or noise complaints. I did put in a maintenance request for my dishwasher on a Friday and they came to fix it on Monday. My neighbors are pleasant and quiet. After reading the other reviews, I have a better concept of what people are dealing with. Depending on where you live on the property, it impacts noise. My bedroom is right above the garage and facing the main street, so I tend to hear the garage doors open and close. Also, if I have my window open I hear people outside but its not burdensome. Again, I have no real complaints living here. It's well worth the price for the location, amenities, and floor plans.

Applicants BEWARE! (Long - but worth the read) Over a month ago I was denied by your community as s result of the credit check on my co-applicant. Which is understandable and I was planning on reapplying for my own apartment but after the treatment I have received I will be doing nothing of the kind. First, I inquired about getting my refund for all fees not directly related to the application - which was $90 - after two weeks of contacting them and hearing nothing I finally spoke to a manager who said that it's not doable until I pointed them to the contract language that stipulates the exact refund to which I was referring. I was told it would be processed so I waited patiently to receive my refund. That was like a red flag for me so I re-read my contract and realized that there was a time constraint on that refund - Maryland law states that the refund should be returned within 15 days after receipt of written denial which at that point I had yet to receive. So I called and it took TWO days to get someone to email me confirmation of what they called two weeks ago about (this is when I noticed that these were delay tactics) finally a week later I called again having received no refund and reminded them that the contract states the refund will be doubled if I don't receive my refund within that 15 day window. To which they said "actually the law states we have 30 days" I said that is not what the contract states but okay. Again that speaks to the fact that these delay tactics are not new but instead purposeful! Now, it has been over 30 days - I have not received my refund which should now be double and no one will answer or return my calls - I am leaning toward taking legal action if I don't hear from someone soon because I am sure with even the slightest research I would find that this is not the first time someone has experienced this. To say that I am upset would be an understatement and I understand that it's not a lot of money - at the same time this is unacceptable and if we don't start holding the companies existing in our communities accountable for their actions they will continue to treat us as less than. So here I am. I have contacted corporate offices and if I don't hear from them I will be taking legal action. Again, this is all having not moved in and I thank God we didn't because then I would be tied to this abhorrent treatment for at least a year. Oh and don't try to label this as a disgruntled applicant who was turned away because I move in to a gorgeous apartment next week! I pray this helps someone! I wish I'd believed the reviews prior to my experience so please y'all take note!

I have lived on this property for over three year. I have no had any issue living on this property. The maintenance team responds quickly to my request and the employees in the leasing office are friendly. The location is great for my commute to downtown DC.

So I'm in the process of moving back to Maryland. I did the tour at Summerfield and the building is very nice and the apartment I viewed was beautiful. However, the representative who showed me the apartment didn't seem excited and he was very dry which was a turnoff. The application process is just old school (money order and paper). Too many negative reviews. I think I will pass.
