This store is a hidden gem. If you like to sew, then check out this spot. Parking is limited in the area, and you can easily pass the store if you're not paying attention.

I took a drop spindle class here and it was a wonderful experience. The shop is in a great location and has a wonderful selection of yarn, fiber, and other craft supplies!

This is a wonderful knitting store. The woman who helped me, Sharon, was so fantastic. She helped me find a pattern for my yarn, other yarns I was looking for, figured out the math for how many stitches I needed to cast on, helped me to choose knitting needles, and how to use Ravelry. The selection of yarn is not huge, but they have some great choices. There is a fabric store in the same building, so it's a great place for crafters in general. They have a good selection of knitting books too. There is easy parking. They offer knitting and crochet classes.

I had problems with some yarn I received. Sweet Pea Fiber was wonderful to work with and solved my problem quickly. I wish I could visit their shop.

Warm and inviting staff, management, and space! I go out of my way to visit regularly, which is typically over a thirty-five minute drive. It's my happy place in the chaos of the DC metro area. I can not say enough good things about it!

Lots of variety, supporting small business and artisans. When I was there, they had a class for kids going on in the back. Very nice experience on the whole.

A cute little shop on the second floor of the building. The lady working was very helpful. I can’t wait to go back!

Great shop! My husband and I took a cable knitting class and learned so much! Our teacher, one of the owners, was so helpful and thoughtful. We now feel comfortable trying out a cable pattern on our own and she taught us some other helpful tips and hints.Great selection of notions, needles and yarn. Even some dyeing kits and needle felting equipment. Very reasonably priced for the items and the class. Can't wait to tell return!

This is a great yarn store (co-located with three birds sewing). Lots of beautiful yarn to pick from, wide selection of knitting and crochet needles, and excellent patterns. Staff is great. Everyone is welcome at drop in knit night on Wednesday from 6 to 9 pm.

I've been in a couple times now, as Sweet Pea is the closest yarn store to where I live not counting the mass market chains. It's not super close though so I sadly haven't been for weekday knit-night, just to buy stuff usually on the weekends. They have a nice selection of yarns, needles, hooks and accessories. As a long-time knitter, I appreciate that they have a good selection of indie yarns as well as many of the standard brands (Malabrigo, Blue Sky Fibers etc). They particularly have a lot of yarn using recycled and other eco-friendly materials. As a new crocheter, my husband appreciated that he was able to find hooks, a book with lots of amigurumi patterns to work on, and appropriate yarn for his first big project. They have some seating if you want to sit-and-knit, and Sweet Pea is co-housed with a fabric shop that also has a lot of cute stuff (but I don't quilt so I haven't purchased from them.) I think they take turns operating the store, as I think both times I went it was the fabric store lady who rang up our orders; I'm not sure if the yarn store owner was there or not. We didn't need help per se so it wasn't an issue regardless. There is free parking in the lot behind the building, but I'll warn it's not super accessible if you have disabilities (I had a broken foot when I went the first time and it was a little rough with the path and steps in my boot), you might have to go all the way around the building if you're in a chair and can't navigate steps.
