Horrible experience try reaching every number that’s on file to file a complaint about was happening at the auction, not being able to even park to load my stuff because they start moving you & cvI don’t know what are the policy’s to the auction if you are able to set up tables and do flea market all day because that’s what’s happening every day… Some one needs to take a look into that !!!

I donated some furniture through the Salvation Army's pickup program. I am certain that I was scammed in order to get a valuable vintage 4-piece Franklin Shockey bedroom set, which then disappeared from the Salvation Army truck. I'm sure somebody made money off of my donation, but apparently it never made it to the SA Family Store. A very painful learning experience for me. I now donate to Habitat for Humanity's ReStore, and never again to the Salvation Army Hyattsville Donation Center. Philanthropists beware!UPDATE: I’m afraid your purely marketing response to my complaint convinces me that my review is accurate. I am a trusting individual by nature, until I find enough evidence of wrongdoing that convinces me that an individual or organization is not trustworthy. Your clear assumption that my review was erroneous leads me to conclude that the organization will do nothing to investigate and correct any wrongdoing. I stand by my review.

These guys are terrible. I tried to do a good deed and donate some work clothes and an area rug. Scheduled a pickup (I am disabled myself and do not drive)- only to have them never show up. I looked up the request and saw that it was cancelled.. No notification nor reasoning. They never even showed up at my door - at least according to my ring doorbell. Yet, I get emails saying they are desparate for items... apparently not. So, in the trash my stuff went- hoping that some homeless person will find it in the dumpster and get some free use out of it. Because that is better than dealing with Salvation Army. If you REALLY wanted donated items, you would pick them up.

very horrible experience with a associate. i was shopping minding my business looking through the t shirts when a hispanic older worker keeps glaring at me and i see her staring at me for some time so i walk over to a different section. she follows me over there as well and keeps mugging me saying rude stuff over her breath in spanish. i then asked her if there was a problem and she said if you drop something even if you didn’t drop it pick it up and said something in spanish to her co worker. i felt so uncomfortable after that i immediately left. please get better and nicer staff

If they had a self checkout option like other thrift stores in the area, that would be great so that I wouldn’t have to interact with the RUDE staff at all. I use to come here quite often with family when I was a kid…. I’m 32 now. I started coming here again within the past few months and the employees have been pretty rude. You ask them a question, they answer rudely. My things is, they are all TOO grown to be this immature and unprofessional. I won’t be returning.

Just donate elsewhere, the donation center is probably closed. Sometimes because its after 4PM (so early), sometimes... just because.

I’m convinced this Salvation Army is a front for something because pricing an Ann Taylor used dress for $29.99 is criminal. Never walked out of a thrift store this fast
