My partner and I had a wonderful experience getting my engagement ring made at Fleisher’s in Winter 2023. We used family stones and came with an idea of how we wanted to reset them but got great advice and suggestions. The quote for the work was very reasonable and they stuck to the quote even when little changes needed to be made. They kept us informed throughout the whole process. We really appreciated how personal the process felt, especially after we had looked into initially going through online vendors.I was also struck by Fleisher’s great selection of silver and gold jewlery— some great (and affordable) finds!My ring is stunning — beautiful craftsmanship and excellent quality. I had one concern with a prong being a little larger than the others and Fleisher’s addressed it immediately. We could not recommend this local jeweler enough and plan to return for our wedding rings! Thank you Fleisher’s!

Friendly and efficient! Quickly changed 3 watch batteries all in the time it took to walk across the street and grab a coffee. Even tightened up the band on an old watch for free. Will certainly come back, and glad to have a place like this that is local!

My wedding bands had become uncomfortably tight and when I finally managed to get them off about two months ago, I didn't put them back on. After searching Google for ring-sizing services on Friday Jene 9th, I selected Fleisher Jewelers because of the reviews and closeness.I was greeted and helped as soon as I got to the desk. Fred carefully examined my rings. He verified the size (7), the metal composition (14k yellow gold), and authenticity of all the diamonds in each ring. Then he sized my ring-finger (8.5), took photos of the rings, and filled out the work order and explained that the cost would be $125 to $150 per ring. The price would also include a thorough inspection of the prongs holding the diamonds and cleaning. The person who would do the actual work would come on Sat to pick up the rings and should take about 5-7 business days. I received a call on Sat informing me that it would cost $165/ruling and I agreed.I had also thought that the rings had broken apart, as when we bought them you see it was two rings but they were as one. He asked if I wanted them soldered together. He examined them some more, and determined that they were held together by two posts on the wedding band that fit into corresponding openings in the engagement ring.On Thu l, Jun 15th, Fred called at 10:44 to let me know my rings were ready. I got them that same afternoon. They twinkled and sparkled like new and fit perfectly. I could not detect any sign that any work had been done on the rings. I asked, and Fred answered in the affirmative, that he had checked the diamonds again upon receipt and before putting the rings in the safe.Fleisher's is a great place for browsing and unique finds in a very cool setting with some history. Paid parking is nearby (50cents/30-min), with a coffee roastery, art gallery, and a restaurant nearby in an easy to walk area. I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

I have known Fred and the jewelry store since I was a young girl. I lived in the apts across from the old store in Mt. Rainier/Chillim.I was so sad when they closed in 2012.I was looking for an independent jewler to fix my necklace and googled jewlers and Fleisher's came up and I was soooooo excited to read up on it. That Fred was still the co-owner.I went in today to drop off my necklace and he is still the sweet, kind, thorough Fred I remember.And he remembered me!!They have always done a wonderful job on EVERY piece of jewelry I have brought in over the years.Highly recommend bringing all your jewlery needs to Fleisher Jewelers of MD.
