Megabus is disproportionately unprofessional in comparison to other coach companies. On 3 separate occasions, including this evening, routes between District of Columbia and Philadelphia have been delayed. Customers do not receive any digital correspondence about delays (I.e., via text message or email), which Greyhound does exceptionally well. The tracking system on the Megabus website is inaccurate. In fact, the 8:20pm bus time does not reflect any gps tracking on the website. Lastly, all of their employees are finished shifts for the day, so there is no representation on the company’s behalf to guide customer questions or manage the line in which patrons are waiting. Megabus is not “proudly transporting [its] “valued” customers to more than 100 locations nationwide…and growing.” This firm’s response to customer concerns fails to demonstrate “value” in every since of the word. And perhaps they should cease expanding and scaling [“growing”] until they have more human and physical capital to sustain. I’m standing in front of two inoperable buses as I type. It’s a pathetic excuse for a company. Divest and choose another company for your travels: Greyhound, Flix, Peter Pan, Amtrak, and more. Options are vast. Use your dollar to pressure Megabus to change its system and infrastructure to REALLY VALUE customers.

I see these busses operating unsafely daily on rt50 in Maryland. The drivers have zero regard for the safety of others on the road. Their failure to obey traffic laws is apparent everyday. They have zero customer service.

Took Bus from White Marsh MTA park and ride to NYC (Hudson Yard) The Sunday at 8:30am left Baltimore about 15 minutes late. It was an empty bus so no problem sitting in our reserved seats. Ride was comfortable and only around 3.5 hours. Got in line at 5:30pm for the Monday 6:00pm bus and we were first in line. Again was empty bus so no problem getting good seats on top level. Bus left exactly at 6:00pm. We passed some folks waiving at the bus about half a block away who probably had tickets for our bus. Hopefully they were able to catch the next one. I was amazed it left exactly on time and glad we showed up early. There was a gentleman who was watching a show on his phone with no earplugs so everyone around him was being disturbed. The bus driver asked very nicely for him to put in earplugs or turn it down. He harshly talked back to the driver that he didn't have earplugs and it was low enough. It was obvious he was not going to cooperate. The bus driver let it go which I felt was the right decision. I put my earplugs in which helped drown it out. We arrived in Baltimore about 3.5 hours later. It was great that there was convenient parking in the back side of the lot so easy to head home afterwards.

customer service was a total slag. talked with a rep only to learn that he had no soul. he told me amidst a pandemic and freezing in the pouring rain, "we don't lose anything from transferring your ticket, but we won't". turns out when megabus says, "stay safe" they don't mean it. last time i ever utilize their backwards services~

Why are your buses always in the left lane on rt50. Today’s bus was struggling to maintain a lane and was causing a dangerous situation by doing 15 miles per hour less than posted speed limit in the left lane of three. Slow is safe I get it but there are other lanes for that. Update the bus just clearly crossed the bay bridge in the left lane completely ignoring the signs stating “no vehicles over 5 tons in left lane.

Megabus is by far the worst choice for DC to NY. It’s broken down twice, and both times they wouldn’t give me a refund or even credit. The driver this time told me her bus broke down yesterday as well. She said it’s because they drive all over the country, and “burn their buses up.” I was apparently supposed to be grateful that they have so many destinations, unlike Bolt Bus, which never breaks down. Seriously, that’s what she told me. Oh and then just before we reached nyc two hours late, she pulled over to fill out her “driver’s log.”

I took the megabus from NYC to Baltimore and forgot my bag under the bus. Well I called them that night. They took my information and told me it would be 3 to 5 business day. They couldnt contact the dispatcher or the driver. So my 4 day vacation was spent without my things and not ever an email or call from megabus. Not only that i gave them another chance and booked a return , paid for reserved seating and someone had their bags there and refused to move. Apparently I wasnt the only passenger on this bus with this problem. Everyone wants to go home so I sat somewhere else. $3 for my seat I wont my a stink but no more megabus for me.

I have just been hung up on twice by their customer service agents, all for the mere fact that I am trying to book a ticket and there is an error in their online system. In short, my payment is not going through - however my bank has assured me that every detail is correct and there are no holds being placed on my account. MegaBus' temporary hold is just "falling off" for no reason. MegaBus told me the only way for me to order the ticket is to do it by phone and that they are going to charge me up to $10 on top of the ticket price simply because it's by phone and that they are unwilling to wave the fee. As I insist on either waving the additional booking fee, or helping me to actually book online - they just hung up on me. This has happened twice in the last ten minutes.

Wish aviation goes back to pre 9/11 time. Airplanes are faster, have higher ceilings, no scary and smelly portable Johns, and sold snacks. Even the train is not convenient because it is expensive and has boarding difficulties, chaos, and confusion. But it's a different world people are either rich or ride buses. Wish they make a stop at a nice service stop so we can use the bathroom, buy snacks, coffee, walk around, and enjoy the journey. Perhaps a 15-25 minute stop and make some of the pick up spots at the service stop.

Terrible product and customer service. I had taken Megabus a few times without incident. However last weekend I took it from DC-PHL and the bus got lost and ended up exiting at PHL airport. This was a real problem because it wasn't possible for the bus to pass through due to the low clearance at the airport. I have no idea how they ended up resolving it because I jumped off the bus and got a ride share to complete my trip. The driver did not want to let us off at first, but relented after a few minutes of customers demanding to get off and some people calling 911. Customer service would not apologize or issue a refund! I opened a dispute for the charge.
