Can’t recommend this company enough! They are total pros. Bookstore Movers packed my moving truck for a cross country move within a couple of hours and turned moving day from stressful to easy. Then I drove the truck 2,600 miles, including an incident where one of the tires blew out on the highway, and I still arrived at my new home with everything packed perfectly. Nothing broke! Totally exceeded my expectations.

Bookstore movers are absolute pros. They did a two household combination into one and it was such a smooth experience because of their expertise and professionalism. They navigated difficult stairs, disassembled and reassembled furniture without a scratch, and were incredibly efficient. Cannot recommend them enough!

Bookstore Movers did a fantastic job with our move! They worked very quickly and efficiently. They treated all our belongings with great care, wrapping each piece of furniture in blankets and being careful with heavy boxes and tight spaces. I highly recommend Bookstore Movers!

I used Bookstore movers twice in the last week (first time was to get my partner moved into our new 2br, second was to move myself in). I can't recommend them enough. On the second move in particular, I had to get my stuff out of a cramped row house and then into my new, more corporate-style apartment. Communication from the movers was great and the crew chief and team were friendly and professional. I also felt like the pricing was fair given the level of service. I've previously taken the "do it myself" approach to moving in DC with a U-Haul truck and a few friends, which usually costs a few hundred dollars anyway (and a whole lot more time and effort). Bookstore Movers was absolutely worth it, for me.

Bookstore Movers was recommended by a friend of mine. They made my move so easy and really brightened my day during a difficult day and move for me.
Everything was very clearly explained ahead of the move, inlcuding all available options. Gershom, Robert and Nitua showed up a bit early, but called before to confirm that was OK. They were very careful with everything they moved, super pleasant and professional. What a fantastic team!
Final amount was aligned with the estimate. I gave all the cash I had on hand to the crew; a bit over 20% and so well deserved, because they were so efficient and professional beginning to end. Don't forget to tip generously!

THE BEST MOVERS EVER! Dwayne,Renaldo and Marlon were so kind, communicative and just fun to work with. They were on time, and checked in with me when arriving.Very efficient and caring when moving my items and made sure all of fragile stuff were double wrapped! They are THE BEST 10000/10000 recommend!

If you were to describe the dream move you hope to have when the time comes, it would probably match our experience with Bookstore Movers. From the beginning, as I communicated with the staff, and then all through the move, they were friendly, knowledgeable, quick yet careful, and seemed to enjoy their work. I just remembered it was a rainy, muddy day. Forgot about that! Guess their sunny attitudes made it seem otherwise. BTW, they brought (clean) materials to walk on throughout the indoor area, to avoid leaving any mud or wetness behind.

These guys were awesome! I reached out with a "last minute" request to move a small amount of furniture. With just a few days' notice, I was able to secure a move team.
James, Brandon, and another gentleman whose name I am forgetting arrived at the pickup location a few minutes early, ready to go. They were respectful of both the pickup and drop-off locations, ensuring nothing was damaged. They took their time packing and unpacking the furniture (a breakfront, glass dining table, and two office chairs); nothing was damaged!
Their price is on the higher end, but it is well worth the extra dollars! Don't skimp with cheapo movers. I have tried that and been bit in the butt. Bookstore is the way to go!

I’ve used Bookstore Movers twice now and on both occasions the crew showed up on time or early, got the job done fast and with a lot of care for my belongings. I highly recommend Bookstore Movers if you’re moving in the DMV.

They made moving SO MUCH EASIER! This was our first time hiring movers so we didn’t know what to expect. We were pleased with how efficient the crew was and the care they took moving our things. We had to put things into storage and they were careful and strategic placing the big items in so that we could fit everything. Highly satisfied with our experience and will be calling them when we have to move again!
