It is a really big beauty supply store with lots of different products, but I'm giving it a one star because the young lady that was at the cash register was ill-tempered and extremely rude. I went back to this store today after making a purchase with a very nice young lady yesterday to exchange two of the items. Not refund, exchange. The MADE me sign up for a membership in order to get store credit to make the exchange. Before I went through that process (I had already been waiting for a long time since there was an issue with the customer the cashier had been helping before me and maybe that's the reason she was irritated) I asked if I could just go get the items that I wanted to exchange and just pay the difference. She said no, that I HAD to sign up for a membership and create a PIN in order to get store credit and then use the store credit to make a new purchase and then pay the difference. IF I ever go back in there, I will definitely make sure I get the correct items because I have no interest in going through all of that again and I certainly left that keychain card that she put the store credit on right in there.

NO STARS HONESTLY! So, I shop at this particular store often. I never bring my cosmetology license in EVER to get a discount. So for the last three years I have paid FULL PRICE for everything. Never complained, nothing. I finally bring my Maryland Cosmetology License in for a discount on Christmas Eve to do my hair. Now if you know, MD requires your picture to be on it and I have that, trust. I pull my license out immediately after placing my items on the counter and the girl with burgundy dusty faux locs behind the counter chose to not add the discount. After paying, I just asked politely, is that with the discount? She says no and acts as if she forgot. So I say okay well give me my $4 back since there is an active transaction on my card. She said no. We have to refund the transaction, as in hold the money on your card. Then, recharge you just to get $4 off my purchase. Now if you know business, you know each time they have a transaction for a purchase they as a company are charged. So they were going to pay double just to give me my discount. Instead of getting a manager she decided to go back and forth with me about not giving me my $4. Every time I come in she always has an attitude as if she hates her job. If you don’t like it than get something you do like. I am a licensed professional and I deserve the respect of not having to sacrifice and commit other funds for the mistake of YOUR business. This is insane. It’s so minor and instead of realizing/apologizing for the mistake it was almost as if she didn’t care about me putting my license on the counter. I chose the refund. I will not be coming back. And if you know what I know you wouldn’t shop here either.

They have a great selection of hair but customer service has completely gone down since they got rid of the lady in the back. There's a new woman back there and she is rude. Harasses you and follows you around.

I went to the store to make a purchase today and upon entering the store and looking for my items I requested some here for a quick weave, and the lady proceeded to go to the back and get it and she asked me was I sure if I could afford it because I work every day would she asked a white women that just because you’re in a black neighborhood doesn’t mean doesn’t mean that you should stereotype every black person that comes into your establishment anybody else my money just like everybody else’s For my money, so don’t categorize me as those pictures as you got placed on the window of people stealing my money legitimately by working every day so I have to Should not have to come to a store and be treated like and be treated like criminal like a criminal for spending the money that I work for as far as me patronizing, the store ever again, is a hell no if you if you care about what’s right and being treated fairly, i advise you not to shop at that place just because there are establishment in a black neighborhood you get to treat me any other way any other way boycott beauty Island

Came in to return somethings and was told by staff they don't do returns, exchanges or store credit even though the items were unopened, the purchase was made 24 hours prior and I had the original receipt. They were not on sale and were regular hair products.

Hood spot but they have mostly everything you need. 85% of the stuff i buy are priced better than other local supply stores. Would have better shopping experiences if they'd turn down the obnoxious music though.

Horrible customer service. They ignore the fuck out of you and then when you bring it to someone's attention they have the nerve to have an attitude. And the so-called manager? Ha! The place is dirty and disgusting. You won't get a dime out of me.

Trash....wigs and just about everything in the store overpriced. Store is filthy...look down at the carpet as you walk in. No dressing room, yet return policy is store credit...saywhat? So I'm buying your overpriced, cheaply made clothes at my own risk?! I think not.

Great selection of hair care supplies and hair(Human and Synthetic). They even have some cute little quick outfits and shoes. They carry a nice selection of scented body oils, add that to their rewards program (VIP Membership) and you are set!Be careful though if you don't do well with the heat. The AC never really seems to work at full capacity and the some of the staff seemed to be bothered when you asked for help.

Its like a flea Market, they have everything on top of everything. Plus, the ppl at checkout were friendly
