Good service, friendly staff. I had my Ferris zero turn mower serviced. They did a good job. It took a while but I brought it in at the busiest point; the beginning of growing season. I recommend taking your lawn equipment in between Jan and March.

Known the Elter family over 40 yrs. Bought all my estate equipment from them and they have kept all the equipment working. Some of the items are over 40 yrs old also.

2472 is the correct address. To keep it short, racist plain and simple. One of the worst experiences in customer service I've ever had. Though I did leave with a smile on my face. A smile of pure "I cannot believe what just happened". Avoid at all costs!

They didn't have what we needed, so we left. We were there for about 40 mins.

Not recommend this company. It’s located in the middle of no where. Has trailers and a house trailer across from it. Isn’t open when the business is supposed to be. Business is located in a back yard of a home. No one answers the phone. *NOT SAFE BE AWARE*nor felt comfortable.

I want to let everyone know that I found a company that is semi local to me (Huntingtown, MD) that provided me with exceptional service and had all of the products I needed at a fair and reasonable price. They were super knowledgeable, honest, and have a lot of integrity. They did not try to upsell, just down home, great people. Their shop and yard are a little cluttered but with lots of choices. If you need any lawn and garden power equipment take the ride and visit L.J. Elter and Son, they have been in business since 1978, understandably, with service like I received.

Great place for lawn equipment needs. Fair prices and excellent service. If you’re worried about getting your feelings hurt by a no BULL SH&@ tell it like it is mechanic, go somewhere else.

We went to this location because Mr. Elter is a great guy. I hope that our experience here isn't indicative of the way he trains his staff, though, because not only was the young man at the front counter refusing to comply with mask ordinances, but he actively brought up and argued the point with my father who just wanted to get his tiller fixed. We will not give our time and money to a company staffed by people who care so little for the health and safety of others. I really hope, like I said, that this is one isolated incident with one individual employee, and that in the future employees are taught to respect and care about not only the customer, but the current laws and ordinances that govern the area they do business in.

I went there to have my garden tiller repaired. The guy working there who had given me his name when I called the week before (I simply asked "are you so and so?"....said he was)...and went on to say he is not related to Mr Elter..... began telling me all about his doubts as to the validity of COVID as a threat..I said "I don't know man, over a half a million died last year from it", to which he replied "but there are so many more people than that ". Mind you he started this conversation....volunteered his thoughts and his assertions. I politely pointed out that I wear a type II diabetes bracelet and that folks like me make up roughly 30 percent of the 535,000 deaths from COVID. So wearing a mask and all is looking out for folks like you know....um....ME. Apparently he doesn't care much because he kept right on talking. He said it's all overblown. Masks... overblown...the vaccine?....same. Not gonna do it. Not gonna make him do it. I guess the legal mandate that businesses must wear masks meant nothing to him either as he moved in and out of my immediate space with no mask on. For the record, this isn't just my recollection...my son stood in the doorway and heard the entire conversation. I should have left then, but instead finished..I mean, I really wanted the daggone thing fixed...But doing a slow burn as I drove away, I THEN went back and gave him his paperwork back, and told him I didn't want to do business there...that I was left uncomfortable by our conversation--at that point he STILL didn't care enough about the public walking into the shop to don a mask. Remember folks.....the mask isn't for preventing the virus from getting to him...it's to prevent to a great extent him from spreading it. My family knows Mr. Elter as a nice man via church. I won't be going back. As for his hired help? My message to them....Wear a mask. It's the law and it shows you care. But then again you apparently know more than everyone else right? Sheesh.
