I have been sending my daughter (8) here for the past 3 years. She came from another private school, and I can say the switch was a great decision. The staff is great, very attentive, and communication is A1. My daughter started during the year when Covid was still well alive, but the way they handled in person learning, I couldn’t have asked for a better way, it showed from the beginning they cared about the kids and the families. The curriculum is awesome, with my daughter being in 3rd grade, she is learning things that her friends at other schools haven’t even touched yet. The faith base of the school is great. My daughter is so IN LOVE WITH GOD, and I can only thank the staff because the way they teacher about him, helps the kids understand on a child’s level. My daughter has grown as a young girl, the excitement she has every morning to wake up and go to school is amazing and it’s not just so she can see her friends, its because she loves to learn and loves her teacher. The school gives me a sense of reassurance, that everyday when I drop her off, she is in safe hands and good learning. The class sizes are smaller than normal and that is great for me when it comes to the focus the teachers are able to have when it comes to the kids learning and the help they might need. I would recommend the school if you’re looking for a place where your child is able to grow in all aspects of life when it comes to being a kid and everyday learning. The tuition you can’t beat either. They are preparing our kids for excellence.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE! I WISH I COULD GIVE IT 0 STARS! This school claims they want to help children but in actuality make no effort to do so unless your child doesn’t require assistance. I chose this school because I believed they truly cared about actually helping my son and since it was a smaller class size I felt this would help my son with his learning disabilities even more. His class size including him was no more than 5 black boys. When the school noticed my son had learning disabilities they said they would reach out with me to discuss what they planned on doing with my son, mind you this was only the second week of school. In the conversation, I not only felt that they were indirectly telling me to unenroll my son due to staff shortages (which in my opinion has nothing to do on my end, if I paid tuition that is something you need to take up with funding) but they also referred to my child being in the school as if they were babysitting him. My son is very independent and has attended a previous school before and has never been referred to in that manner. Babysitting to me means you are doing everything for that person which was not the case. At this point I reached out to the principal and let him know I was offended by the comments he made and also let him know the state of Maryland will bring people into the school on a regular basis to work with my son, the teacher, and staff. (Again, all this happened within the second week of school) that conversation happened last week Wednesday. The principal said he would speak with his staff and for him to send the information, which I did Thursday after I called the right people make sure I presented him with the right information so that my son can receive services. I did not receive a response from the principal until Monday evening after picking up my son up informing me my son could no longer attend due to the staff shortage and availability to help my son but I sent the direct information to start receiving services in the school. This school is prejudice children with disabilities and tries to blame lack of staff as to the reason why but when parents offer the resources needed they still turn their backs to them. I’m disgusted with this school and even more disgusted with how they treated my son. Please do not send your children to this school they falsely advertise a narrative of actually caring about the child when really in reality they are lazy and only seem to actually care when the child doesn’t require any assistance. They will not be getting away with this.

My husband and I have been sending our three children (7,9,10) here for the past 3 years. The teachers and staff are beyond amazing! My children have grown tremendously since attending and I love that they're a faith based school. They are always attentive and work in excellence. I am that parent where I don't trust anyone watching my kids and am mindful of their atmosphere and this is the only school that has given me the peace of mind. I know my children are in a safe place! If I ever have any questions they provide a quick response and I love how they have small classes, which makes it more personable for each child and their learning style! 5 stars all across!!!! If you're looking for a school that will take your scholar to the next level New Life Academy is definitely it! Did I mention their competitive tuition!

I have 2 children who attend school here and I am so pleased that I made this choice for their education. They love coming to school each day and have thrived and excelled under the care of the teachers and staff. The small class size has been a bonus as they get the personal attention and guidance that helps them to succeed. I highly recommend New Life Academy for anyone looking for a solid education for their children.

New Life Academy is not just a powerhouse of academic growth and development. It is a genuine community, that strives to prepare our scholars to become future leaders. Our family wholeheartedly supports the school’s core values and pray that all parents that are considering NLA as your scholar’s next step in elementary education - to truly view this school as a powerful opportunity for your child’s faith and character transformation. In the midst of the global pandemic, NLA has become a proven leader amongst schools in our area, by demonstrating mature leadership and supporting our scholars, that they may study in a safe environment, that abides by all CDC guidelines. If you are a working parent like myself, you would probably understand that placing your children in a classroom environment in the midst of the pandemic is not an easy decision. NLA operates under the highest hygiene standards that parents can endorse and once again, I am grateful to be a part of a school family that is connected through collaboration and open communication. As a parent of two scholars that are currently attending NLA, I am extremely grateful for all the hard work and effort that the teachers and staff are pouring over our scholars and we can’t wait to see how God would use this school to impact and bless the lives of many.

My son LOVE this school – from the teachers to the students to the challenging curriculum. integrates compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons. Though it is a small school, it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, giving children more confidence when asking questions, engage in group activities, and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers. Teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed. They are so great about sharing moments of pride they see within your child – their good behaviors and achievements; and they know the importance of getting the parents involved should an issue arise, and do it in a very respectful, approachable manner. Great team – great school!
