Careful you get Preyed on! ?
I got my AC done here, it was done in the same day which was good since I was about to sell my other car. I told owner since you did my job without me having to leave my vehicle that I’d recommend him to others. My son in law said he heard a knocking sound in their car, an a mechanic of his family said it maybe the bearing. I always think getting 2nd opinion is important so I sent him here at Advance Auto Care. My son in law said that the sound wasn’t heard again after that day, the owner said that it doesn’t sound like the bearing or the noise would be consistent. He then said that we should have leave the car so he can check it to see where the sound of was heard was coming from. Keep in mind this car didn’t have no other issues before we took it to this shop! That same day the mechanic sent me a long list and said it’ll cost over $1200+ to fix these things, although we haven’t any other issues with the car. After careful speaking to my daughter & son in law they said that that’s ridiculous & that we will collect the car the same even. We got no response. Our decision seem to upset the owner who then said “ we owe him $100” ? I was like you told us that you will check what caused the one time noise , we never asked for an inspection & he never mentioned that there’s a fee since initially it was left, for checking since he claim it wasn’t no problem with the bearings. I was like Wow, just when I thought we found a trustworthy mechanic but here comes the triflingness again. Never again! You lost a customer & my recommendation to potentially more customers just because of greed!!

Yesterday, my husband and I were on the second day of a drive from Maine to North Carolina and we heard a sudden screeching noise like something was dragging under the car. We pulled off the highway randomly in Hanover, Maryland. After stopping at the gas station nearest the highway, we looked under the car and saw nothing. We called the closest auto repair shop, not even looking at Google reviews or anything. We were on hold for a while so we decided to hang up to get some gas and then try to call back. Eric called us back immediately! We had no connection to this shop and were completely stressed , and already it was a mark in the “win” column that they cared enough about the person who had called in to call them back when the hold time went on for a little while (we mentioned that to him later, and he told us that he considered it a sign of disrespect to not respect the customer who is on hold and call them back immediately!)… anyhow, we drove the 3/4 of a mile down the street with the sound coming once and then disappearing. Eric got us up on a lift right away and said that he was stumped because there was nothing dragging under the car. So he took it for a drive and he heard the noise, brought it back, Put it back up on the lift-nothing! But Eric was so persistent, he and his colleagues checked the car all over, drove it a couple more times and finally were able to diagnose something that we had never seen before (and they had seen so rarely that it wasn’t on their immediate radar)-which was an emergency break that was in several metal pieces around the right rear wheel. They checked the other emergency brake and determined it was safely still connected to itself and connected to the car, then disconnected and put the remains of our other emergency break into a box for us to bring back to Maine. This really felt like a Car Talk stumper, and Eric was SO amazing, and kind and friendly! We got back on the road and arrived in NC with a great story. 100% the BEST repair experience!

I was traveling from NY to SC and experienced some major car trouble. I wish I would have gotten the gentleman's name that helped me, but he fully understood my situation, got me in after an oil change he was working on, and got me back on the road. I was fully stressed and the mechanic here did a great job of assessing the issues (a failed caliper) and explaining the situation. The staff here is top notch, and I couldn't thank them enough for their professionalism, their sense of courtesy in such a stressful situation, and for being so personable. I wish them continued good business and success.

My car was loosing coolant internally (2012 Chevy Sonic 1.8L) and no one wanted to work on it, not even the dealer. Just when I was ready to drive this well maintained beautiful car with 74,000 miles to the junk yard, autozone recommended Advance Auto Care. I’ve driven by their place a thousand times and thought they were part of the adjacent car lot. They took me on as a client and fixed my car! I’m so happy I finally found an honest mechanic. Eric is fantastic and is a great mechanic. Forever grateful!

A very fair, honest, and competent auto repair shop! Very hard to find those qualities in an auto repair shop. I have two Hondas and those vehicles will ONLY be serviced at Advanced Auto Care!

These guys don't give you the price of a safety inspection ahead of time. What they WILL do is complete the inspection then charge you $90. For an inspection, yes, $90!!! Then they'll upsell you on nonsense repairs if you fail. Nice people but they don't care about customers

Just called to inquire about services and asked if they accepted car shield. The rude lady that answered the phone took a deep sigh like she was tired of hearing that question… I’ve taken one car here before but will not give my business to them again if that’s how they treat their customers

Don't take your car here, they are incompetent and don't know what they are doing. If you know anything about cars you'll catch if you don't you probably won't.
