I come here a couple times a year during sales to pick up tshirts and odds and ends for our kids- they have a decent selection, I can’t figure out how these stores at the outlets stay in business except they are large chains and some of the stuff is very random like warehouse online odds and ends - still can get some things relatively cheap and it’s never busy- it stands alone and out from most of the other empty store spaces so its nice you don’t have to deal with the rest of the outlet space - it does feel wierd going to that store and having nothing around it- but a deal is a deal on occasion? clean store.

This store located in Hagerstown outlet has horrible customer service always ignoring the customer doesn't work with you to find what you're looking for.this time I got a pants from the clearance side and there was a sign saying get an extra 80% for the clearance item, They refused to give The discount saying this deal ended yesterday, when I asked why the sign was still there she said without anycaring we didn't get a chance to take it offIf they care about the customers they need to have a really serious conversation with their customer service

I experienced the worst customer service I have ever received at this location. I thought maybe the store was closed but didn't get locked...I walked in with no other customers in the store, the employees were no where to be found. I called the store three times and then I heard the employees talking but not answering the phones. After 10 minutes of this, they finally acknowledged me. I wanted to return/exchange some school (never worn with tags) uniforms but couldn't figure out which of my many receipts they were one. I have a rewards account too but they manager said since I didn't have my receipt. She did not offer any other solutions. I totally understand no receipt but surely there is a way to find what she needed. Her lack of any sort of interest in helping me really was frustrating. I finally asked if there was no way she could do any exchange and only then she acknowledged that she could. What should have been a 10 minute exchange of two sizes of uniforms was a infuriating experience. The ladies at the mall in Frederick though are wonderful. I will drive there instead.

Had a great experience recently picking up a pair of pajamas for my kid! Did an online order, received an email saying it was ready, so away we went to pick it up! Found a few clearance items as well whilst there and the staff was very helpful and friendly when I signed up for the rewards program. Can't wait for more sales and great finds!

I’ve been a customer of children's place for years. You can get great deals on quality clothes with their sales.However, the few times I’ve had to pick up an order in store (I usually deliver to my home), the service at the Hagerstown location is AWFUL. They don’t answer the phone. When they do, it’s nothing but curt responses; like you are the worst part of their day.Rude staff, poor customer service, and complete lack of respect for their customers from their Hagerstown store.

Awful way to deal with undelivered or missing items when you order online. I was giving a credit but it didn’t cover the full amount I paid out of pocket! Never ordering again, even canceled my cc because they also weren’t able to help in any way!

This is my go to place for the school uniforms that are required to be worn at my daughters school. They have the best selection of uniforms in town. Other stores in town seem let their selection sell out without replenishing after school starts. So for that aspect of the store, I’m grateful. The staff on the other hand is in desperate need of customer service training. As someone who works retail myself, I know the importance of friendly customer service. They are inattentive and never ask if you need help with anything. I was in there yesterday and as I was purchasing my items, I showed the associate a coupon I had on my phone. She very curtly said to me that my coupon would be on my rewards account and she didn’t need it from my phone. I was taken aback by her mannerisms because I know that this is not the way to behave in retail. I know from personal experience that it’s hard to work in retail, but putting on a friendly face does make all the difference in the world.

I went in today with Christmas gifts that didn’t fit my daughter. I had a gift receipt for all but 3 items, that her grandmother got her. I asked if I could get a gift card in the amount of the return so I could shop another time for her things. I was told NO, that I would have to exchange right then and there. She said “It’s Children’s Place policy”. Also it had to be the entire amount. I was annoyed because my son was waiting in the car and I really didn’t have the time to shop. Majority of what my daughter wanted was out of stock in her size. I took her to the fitting room, by the time we made our way to the front it had been about a half hour or so. The cashier then goes to process my return and at the very end said we had to split the transaction. The computer wouldn’t process the items with and without the gift receipt together. At that point I asked for my stuff back and said I’d just go to another location. I wasted enough time there. I left and then called customer service who told me she was INCORRECT. She was to issue me return merchandise receipt that could be used in any store. It can’t be used online. The customer service rep said I did NOT have to exchange the items at the time of the return. I figured the employee was wrong, I never heard of that return policy in my life. She was rude and incorrect, they need to retrain their staff at that location. They usually seem miserable and have an attitude problem.

I understand the need for stores like this, I just don't enjoy them. For as fast as kids grow it's like a fire that you are throwing money into. Literally you can buy something and in a few weeks that kid will outgrow it. I digress. I came in here to quickly buy my niece something. I looked around and just kept looking around. I started to get anxious because I just hated being in here. I finally found something and headed towards the register. Once there I finally saw some associates that work in the store. I was finally greeted and happy to be there. Or maybe that was because I was about to head out the door into the cold air and never come back.

Awful customer service! I came in for the website advertised "shop faster order online pick up in store". I live 30 miles away and was going to be in the area so I ordered a hat and glove set. When I walk in the line is almost to the act of the store. I am in a time crunch and ask the associate at the register how it works since everywhere else you order online you grab and go. She said I had to go get in line. Needless to say I walked out. I just don't get how this is good customer service. Plus this is not a very good location anyways
