ALERT: Total fraud dealership, nothing but a nightmare. After pre-paying entire purchase price by bank wire (I trusted carsandbids website) and being told in writing by Julian at Prime Autos that nothing was wrong with the car except the tire pressure sensors, we flew across the country to take delivery and in first 20 minutes found at least 10 serious, broken and non-working items including window, sunroof, Nav system, trunk, AC buttons and more. Julian then refused to refund our money, so we had to take it and drive back to our home state. We intend to sue him and the dealership from my home state for fraud. Buyers beware,

Had cash and couldn't buy the car I wanted to purchase.Could not get any response to numerous emails, texts and calls. I guess the owner is wealthy and doesn't need cash paying customers.

I recently purchased my third vehicle from Prime Auto a VW Jetta TDI. I am very happy with this car and very impressed with their attentiveness to the few small issues I've had. Having bought 2 cars for myself and one for my son and being very happy with everything I'm definitely going to continue buying vehicles from them in the future.

I just spoke with someone on the phone about a car I saw online. In the listing it said "We will match or beat competitor's offers, as long as they are from reputable dealers and the vehicles are comparable." I told him that I was looking at the same exact vehicle, but it was a model year newer, and I'd be happy to send the information and proof of the purchase agreement. I asked if they could "match or beat the offer" and he told me "we don't actually do that." I asked why they said on their web site that they will match or beat offers, and he said that with cars it's "impossible to compare two cars" and therefore impossible to "price match" and therefore they have "never actually price matched a car." I asked again why they have on their web site in their listings that they do that if they do not actually do that and he went on a long, irrelevant rant about inventory. I asked a third and fourth time why they have in the listing that they do that if they do not, and he rudely told me he had other calls to answer and couldn't keep "answering my same question." I pointed out my question wasn't answered at all and that it must be in there to attract buyers, because it was the only reason I had called in to inquire about this overpriced car. Tl;dr: the salesperson on the phone literally told me they lie in their ads regarding their pricing and business practices and refused to engage with me further about it. Maybe we should give points to used car salesmen for being up-front about how they lie, but in this case I think I'd avoid a dealership that is so cavalier about their false advertising practices. Edited to add: the owner left a wild, rude and demonstrably untrue comment on my Google review. I suggest you go read it. It was full of rude, unprofessional language and lies. He claimed I lived several states away and wanted to pay $2500 under the value of the car. I just asked if they could lower their price per their ad, and I told him on the phone I live in Maryland and wanted to buy local. The owner also never addressed the crux of the issue: the person I spoke with on the phone admitted that they lie in their ads. Avoid this place and their unhinged staff like the plague!

Just brought my first car last Wednesday and was very happy with my purchase. I chose this dealership because of it's great reviews and Julian and Charlie surely lived up to the reviews. Everything was explained clearly and professionally and not one time did I feel pressured to buy. I would advise anyone who wishes to have a hassle free dealership experience, to give Prime Auto's a call immediately. Oh and my 8yr old daughter wanted me to add that she really likes the car. Lol

Great customer service. Julian and Charlie took care of everything for us with getting financed and on the road. They have alot of decent cars and they took care of any mechanical issues I brought to their attention, even AFTER our warranty was up. If they tell you they will take of something, they stick to their word. If you are looking to buy a dependable used car check their inventory!!

Prime Autos of Hagerstown is a great place to buy a car! I would recommend them to anyone! I just recently bought a VW and I could not be more satisfied with their customer service, assistance, and guidance in my first car financing purchase. Very bad customer service!!! My boyfriend and I drove to this dealership to see a specific car. We had no problems finding it and actually seeing the car, when the salesman came out of the building to talk to us about the car it went okay at first. He backed the car up so we could see the inside better and we really liked it and wanted to go for a test drive (like you do when you want to buy a car at any other dealership) the salesman refused to let us go on a test drive and said people were just coming to drive this car around because it was build and “fast” and that’s why we couldn’t drive the car but he said he would drive it for us. Now who wants to buy a car that they have not drove... keep in mind we were going to be trading in a 500hp built car in exchange for his 300ph car. He was very rude when we asked why we couldn’t go for a test drive. It’s not like he couldn’t go with us we just wanted to see if we liked the car. He did apologize later but he was very arrogant and rude about the whole situation.
