When looking at installing a custom pool we checked with a few companies before going with Masten. The price was the best of all the quotes we received and they were able to get us on the schedule sooner than anyone else.Was there some communication issues at times? Yes, but all issues were resolved in an adequate time after they were discussed.I was able to be around during most of the installation and the installers were very friendly and explained what they were doing at each step along the way.Looking forward to many years of enjoyment with our new pool.Service: Custom Swimming pool design

We were referred to Masten Pools by a friend who used them several years ago and was extremely happy. From the initial sales meeting to the final rough grade, all of the employees were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. This is our first inground pool so we had a lot of questions. Both Doug and Kevin were always available to answer our questions along the way, We now have a beautiful pool and can’t wait for our first full season this summer! Jennie and Mark Dickerson

They're not good at finishing it. Hard to get a response from them; Slow process and they never finish on schedule; Issues with the quality of the swimming pool and concrete deck; The lawns in the yard were damaged. I would not recommend this company.Service: Inground pool installation

Stay away from this pool company, it took 4 months to build and inground vinyl pool because they built it out of block walls. They built my pool 20 inches too high above grade level. I told them several times the pool was too high, and they insisted it needed to be due to drainage and we will make it work they said. Well, the pool was too high and there was no problem with the drainage before they built the pool and now, they refused to pay to have dirt brought in to back fill they only used dirt from the pool dig, I had to spent over a $1,000 in extra dirt and had to back fill myself. They also wanted all their money before pool was finished which I refused. The pool liner is not tight against the corners, you can feel the concrete bumps in the pool and on the floor. I asked about the safety handrail for the pool that was extra and have to pay for a handrail to go into pool. Never heard of such a thing. I could go on.

They don’t know how to read there own prints for building a pool! They never communicate with you about your pool status and when they come out they don’t know what they are talking about!

This company is the absolute worst! Lack of communication on their part as I communicated clearly what we wanted in the beginning stages of our pool being dug leading to our in ground pool being too high leading to us having to raise our door to our pole barn and cut all the metal along the bottom because of the concrete. Now we have water that gets into our pole barn! They were questioned several time about our pool being too high and all along they said no it’s not, no it’s not…..then once I insisted they measure again…”oh it is too high”. This is not the only thing. Their concrete guy was absolutely clueless and rude at the end of the process. He kept canceling (my opinion is because he had no idea on what to do) we have 10 inches of concrete in areas around our pool. The coping is horrible (they blamed the company they got it from). They didn’t show us how to use the pool system itself nor did they show us how to close the pool and won’t come open it even though it was part of the contract. When they put the stuff in to fill the cracks between the concrete and coping they got it on my concrete and didn’t clean it off and there are still holes that need to be filled in. Then I reached out to them because parts were missing and they said they were put in the pool cover bag and if we couldn’t find them then we could order on Amazon!!! We paid these people a lot of money!!! Did I mention the company was sold after we signed a contract but we were never notified!!! I could go on but I am think you get the point. Worse experience ever!

Overall worst experience ever installed my pool over 15 years ago and I still Grieve over It, put wrong swim out in than selected , designed my pool with slide, when installed the steps to slide was in the grass, they could not get water to come down the slide, color of concrete not close to what I picked, tiedowns for cover poorly located, left debris in yard argued every step of the way over agreed cost, and there oversight over costs, if you go with them or any one have detail contact be on site, and don't let them cut corners

beware of this company! they do shoddy work! we had a new pool installed april 2020. concrete deck was sloped incorrectly. causing runoff water to drain toward house foundation. issue was brought up with mr masten. he gave written assurance if any issue arose he would take care of it. 4 months later we have erosion from under concrete installed by masten. owner refused to take care of issue. he told me the issue wasn't open for discussion. this is the last straw in a comedy of screw ups they did during the entire pool construction. no follow up. no coordination. one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. we made a mistake doing business with masten pools. hope you don't.

Best inground pool business in Delmarva. Been around for over 34 yrs. They're efficient and care about their customers.
